Hematoma-scared need some advice

I too had a hematoma after laprascopic surgery to remove some scar tissue after my (tvh) hysterectomy (8-13). We let mine go for about 1 week and then it got rock hard and very painful. I went back to the dr's and he drained it, said to keep an eye on it and if it comes back to get it rechecked. So far so good. My surgeon used a very small needle to pull all the blood out and it reallly wasn't too bad. Some of us just don't reabsorb them. I also had one 2 weeks out after my hysterectomy. The doctor was able to remove that one because of it's location.........They do hurt!

I had one 2 weeks after my surgery and I ended up in the ER cuz the pain was so bad. They put a drain in and drained mine and then sent me home with more pain meds. But now I feel the same pain back and I"m concerned because they said it looked like I had 2 hematomas, but one was small so they didn't drain it. I'm hoping it's not getting bigger. I also got really really sick from the antibiotics they were giving me at first so I needed them by IV.

I too had a hematoma develop at my incision. A 1 1/2 inch are opened and bled (dark blood) out.

For one week twice a day it had to be packed. I was put on antibiotics.

A week later my Doctor took me back into surgery for a 15 minute procedure (was not healing inside out as quickly as he liked) where he inspected the entire incision, removed another clot and put in a JP tube.

Four days later the tube was removed, seven days later the staples were removed.

Everything has healed and I feel great.
