4 weeks tomorrow

I am 4 weeks post-op tomorrow and feeling better than I did weeks 1 & 2 & 3 but I'm still having a smelly yellowish brown discharge that concerns me.

I was diagnosed and treated for vaginal cuff cellulitis at 1 week post-op. After 3 days on antibiotics the fever broke and pain decreased considerably but the discharge has never gotten better.

Is this smelly discharge normal at 4 weeks???

Thank you, in advance, for sharing your experience.

Michelle,

Glad you are feeling better each week! That's a good sign.
I agree that you should definitely call the doctor. It never hurts to be safe when you have just had so much done...

I have the same smelly, tanish discharge as you. I had my surgery on the 12th. I thought it was my bladder repair, but I'm not sure. I had my 3+ week post-op appointment on Friday the 7th. And darn it, I forgot to ask the doc about the discharge. I'm going to wait until the end of the week. If it's still occurring, I'm calling the Doc.

I am glad that you are now feeling better. I think that I would call the doctor about the smelly discharge. Its possible that not all of the infection is gone. Best of luck to you

I go see my surgeon on Wednesday. I'll let you know what they say. Keep me posted on your situation also.

Thanks.

Fanoffox2 -

How is your energy level? Are you back to work? exercising? anything?

I just am wiped out all the time and can't imagine doing any of that.

I am battling anemia right now and it has got me down.

In the past week, my energy levels were starting to rise quite nicely. Now yesterday and today I've felt exhausted. I drove to my folks house 30 miles away to dog-sit for a few hours yesterday. I fell asleep on their couch for an hour.

Thank you! I'm always interested in how my progress compares to others with surgery same day.
