God Bless you JAIYCE. I felt that way all last week. I was so sick of the pain everytime I moved. And I hated that nobody could make me feel better. It is horrible to feel that. The good news is.....it will pass. You will get better. And I am so sorry your hurting. I will pray that you wake up in a few days without any more pain.

I am going to stay in bed or in the chair ALL day. The 2 girls can burn the house down for all I care, I am going to heal if it kills the entire family!
hugs to you guys!
I hear you sister! Unfortunetly, my 10 year old is taking care of me and my chances of having the house burn down are good!

If it is any comfort to you, I had my surgery two days prior to you and I am still feeling like I am going to pass out every time I feel like I have to "go" and these awful grabbing pains attack my intestines with gas or whatever. I just went out and bought metamucil caps with calcium to see if additional fibre in my diet might help? I feel like I cannot go anywhere public in case one of these gas attacks come on because they stop me in my tracks!!! I know exactly how you feel. And, I have good days and bad days. Yesterday I was on my feet all day helping my husband etc around the house and really regretted it as by evening I felt sick and started to spot again. So, hang in there. I also have vicious mood swings where I just want to strangle someone too!!! I totally can empathise with you and hope you feel better soon.

Tah 12-13-07

Had a tah thur 12/13/07. They took it all. Was on morphine that day and had liquid diet all that day then on fri the 14th they took the cath out and I got to get up and take a shower (felt great). Started walking around and eating a normal diet then the gas pains started and OUCH!!
Left hospital on sat afternoon with tylox for pain.

I am 10 days post and the only problems I seem to have are gas still and bm's are daily but with pain and i have alot of pain on the right side just above the incision site. It is worse when I move but not bad if I'm just sitting. Maybe I am doing to much.

Coming home was the easy my husband of 25 yrs has been taking care of me wonderfully. If I want or need anything all I do is ask. And when I overdid it the other day he was there to scold me and take care of me while we are in the midst of buying a house.

I hope all of you recover well and have a merry christmas and a happy new year.

I walked it and felt aches and pains in the lower abd off and on and was pooped out. Was worried but no spotting. Same friend also stayed after our outing and brought dinner back later. She was making up for not being around due to a family emergency on her side during my surgery time. But I think as nice as it was, it was alot in one day. No nap that day and I have caught a cold since then, so I probably picked up a germ along the way or got too ran down or both.... so be careful out there and wash hands. I was so frustrated Friday (was hoping to go to a movie w/ DH and DS but felt like a rung out wash cloth) and got weepy because I had been feeling great until then. I did feel better after my cry to a friend who called to check on me. Little did she know she was going to get an earful and a few boo hoo's! But that's what friends are for I guess!
One of my toughest challenges (besides keeping my hands out of the sweet treats people are bringing) is not using the stairs a zillion times a day. Is anyone out there using them frequently? My doc said only 2-3 times a day but I am doubling that. I had a TVH and would like to compare to the others who had this or had another approach.
I just don't understand what harm the stairs can do??? If anyone has had this explained to them, please explain to me.
Also, does anyone know the amount of stitches a TVH includes? I should have asked. More or less than the other types of hysters?
Thanks and blessings to you all! Looking forward to hearing back from you. Take it easy fellow Princess's!
I understand the stair thing. My only bathroom is upstairs, so I go up and down all day long. At first it was one step at a time now much better. My doctor said it won't hurt me so maybe we don't have to worry.
Hang in there! and Merry Christmas!

Had my 1 week post op visit on friday, then had 40 people in my house on saturday for our family christmas get together. my oldest dd recently had reconstructive spinal surgery and can't travel in a vehicle, and i'm really not driving so well, even though i feel fine (besides the complete exhaustion). Word of warning: don't ever do this anywhere close to christmas! I hadn't even done my shopping for 4 kids, tried to cram it all into friday and saturday, finally finished about 8pm tonight. Now im really worn out and ready for bed, but i can't sleep worth a darn, even if i take a pain pill (which i only take now if i need to sleep, but that seems to have blown up in my face). Anyone have any idea why i am crying at the drop of a hat? I will dissolve into tears at the LEAST thing. The dr. left my ovaries, but told me he had a heck of a time getting my uterus out. Sorry to come across so gripey, but my family keeps saying "what is wrong with you?" Maybe i'm just too tired....?

TO Amy RE: Stairs

my laundry is downstairs, so is my garage, so i'm up and down a zillion times myself. It doesn't seem to bother me or cause problems, except sometimes i still get a little woozy. I have to force myself to not go down sometimes, just to convince myself that I'm SUPPOSED to be taking it easy.
