You picked the right topic tonight, I thought I was the only one dealing with this. My DH is acting like his world is coming to an end due to the lack of sex and I know it has been a long time because I had my last cycle the entire week before surgery so that was 5 days lost for him. And I also know there are other things I could do but I am just not feeling it right now and I feel like he has be sympathic with everything else but this. He is a crab right now.

Men......"can we talk"!

YES Tigg!

Men become crabs when they are sexually deprived, well, at least "mine" is! He is a couple years younger than me, so in his upper 30's, and he is "raring to go"!! Well, obviously I AM NOT! Sure, there are 'other ways', but my desire is just not there at this point in my recovery! I guess I should be "glad" he is still "chasing me" after all these years and children too, but I feel this is an issue we need to discuss, Sisters!

Much love~

I have to admit that I'm a bit envious of you non-bleeders!

I'm pretty frustrated because I've been bleeding for a week and a half now. I would say that it is more than spotting and pretty red.

Plus I think I have a yeast infection too. Last week I was on Bactrim for supposed UTI but now I'm itching like crazy on the area on the outside edge of the vagina. Plus - okay this is embarrasing and TMI - I have little bumps on my bum that itch like crazy! Geez!

Otherwise..I feel good and have very little pain except in the evening when I get those little stabbing pains. My energy level is surprisingly good.

For Brooke and Tigg, the sex issue raised it's 'head' in our house 2 mornings ago. I am not in the mood to even think about any kind of 'fun' right now! I simply asked my DH, when was the last time it was all about me, no satisfaction for you? While he was thinking that one over, I just went back to sleep! My DH mid 40's, as far as sex goes though, he's never made it past 18. Good grief, do they ever grow up all the way?

I count my blessings (after reading everyone's responses on the clean house) where cleanliness and my fiance are concerned, he's much more concerned about it than I am. He's the homemaker and I'm the breadwinner in the family. ^_^ He grew up in a very clean family, and I the opposite.
As far as sex goes, its kindof been driving both of us crazy, but then I have more of a libido than is good for me. He hasn't been pushy about it thankfully, but the issue is definitely up in the air. I can't wait for that 6 weeks mark, my doctor's appointment for the final post-op review is January 30th!

I'm kindof sad on another front, I found out I can't go back early to work (due to a company policy), so I have another week and a few days before I can feel useful again.

Oh and something I'm curious about, did anyone else's doctor give them a picture from the surgery? The last day I was in the hospital my doc gave me a picture taken of my uterus during the surgery just before they removed it, with the huge (softball sized) fibroid hanging off of it. I'm glad he gave me the option, just thought it was unusual?

I didn't receive pics this time, but 7 years ago I had adhesions fixed by lap. My Dr. gave pics then to my DH. Of course he couldn't tell me anything about them when I came to, so I had no idea what I was looking at! lol

Hello Everyone. I just spent the last hour reading all the posts and catching up...I laughed so hard! Conrats Tinylibrairian on your good news, and Rocky Cat, I did not bleed either, what does your doc say?

I had a huge fight with my DH tonight about the cleaning. He really was great...at first...getting me anything I needed. Then my family came and took care of me and now that they are gone he seems to have forgoten the whole 6-8 week deal. I ask him to get me something and its like I have asked him to paint the house! Then he had the nerve to say to me that he thought the PMS was over!! Can you believe that!!! I could scream! I locked myself in my room for an hour, then he came upstairs and tried to explain, turns out that was suck up mode as he wanted to go out with the guys for wings and a beer..whatever..he then came home with wings like that would make me not mad! I totally get that taking care of the kids and the house is alot of work, but I am feeling so angry :burning: I am not sure if I am losing it and its me...I feel like its him..I know how that sounds, but I am pretty sure its not me...LOL...
I am proud to report that I am finally off the percocet, today was the first day and I am okay. I was down to half every 6-7 hours and then today tried to stop and was okay. I am not great with pain tolerance so this is a big deal for me. Today was my first day at home with the kids as the company has left and DH went back to work It was quiet and nice, wish I had more energy to play with them though..My goal is to play monopoly with them omorrow...hold me to it!!

math-teacher---thank you--I was so...worried and my headaches have now gone away now that I can focus on my recovery and not "why my ovaries were removed..and cancer etc" ----I feel very lucky and decided that in 2008 my new year's resolution should be to not take any day for granted and try to see the positive side of life instead of all the negatives or potential negatives...I also need to realise that I actually am getting older and my body is going to change and sometimes not necessarily in a good way.... you and everyone else on this site make me appreciate how much it can mean when you have other people to share in your life experiences and health experiences. I live a fairly isolated life in a foreign country, not of my birth, with no friends or relatives around me other than my spouse so having virtual "sisters" to support me has meant everything to me!

Yes, my surgeon loves to give out pictures. He gave me one last year for a different procedure and he told me right before the surgery that he will take lots of pictures to give me for my four-week checkup. I think that's a little weird, but I do like pictures. I will see them next Tuesday.

Very timely on the DH and the issue of sex! Guess alot of us are dealing with this same issue. My DH is a great guy - but as time is going on, I can see his frustration level rise. And all the sweetness and caring of the first few weeks is starting to disappate! I'm getting the impression that in his mind HE'S the one who is suffering now. Poor baby!!!!!

Tinylibrarian - that has to be so hard to be in a foreign country with just your DH and going through this! Not to mention having to wait in such suspense for the results of your pathology tests. I'm so glad that everything is ok. And we definitely ARE here for you!

Sisters, I sure had some good chuckles (at all of our expense) on this sex issue. Again, another area where I see that I'm not alone in this! I especially appreciated Bulldoggrl's comment about her husband never growing up past 18! I have the same thing! Though, like Brooke Parker said, it is good that my DH is still interested!

Xantho - Yes, my Doctor took a picture of everything she removed. Gave it to my DH who almost passed out after she showed him! The picture is pretty amazing. Can't believe all of that was in me. Yowsa!

Take care everyone!
