more bloat?

EEEKKK!!! Just got out of the shower, my second since surgery, and noticed not only the belly and thigh bloating, but my vagina is horribly swollen also. Is that normal? Is it just part of the lower body bloat? If anybody has answers, I'd love to hear them. Also, has gotten rather painful to sit in my chair the proper way, due to the swelling.

Hi ladies

joined the first bm gang - ooh la la. took ages, and so bored, so gave up and went back later. then sent out for something called laxo-calm dual.lol.

been up and down the stairs a few times now, with a minder. had a shower then needed a nap. my sister dried my hair and straightened it - and feel a little more human.

bit worried about going to doctors tomorrow to get my stitches out, especially as i cant bear having anything on my tummy.should be interesting when i turn up with my tracky bottoms slung around my hips, and my smiley face scar on view. also, I havent been out of the house yet.

pain relief is now just paracetemol, but keeping ahead of it. had a few aches and sharp pains. coughed unexpectedly while i was standing up last night and was doubled up in pain..so laughing and coughing are now out..

Tammy - you so need to slow down. what happened to pampering princesses?

so interesting about the gas pain thing. my pain was in my back in hosipital, and my sister said that it could be gas, but to be honest i didnt really believe her..but it does make sense..

hoping some more of the ladies will post, lots of people not messaged yet?

hope all is well..xx

Hi Mary Kay

good idea to post a new thread asking about this - we're all first timers too, so not sure what is normal or not.

I can't see my bits anyway.lol

Well its Sunday and I am have taken a step or two back. My fever has returned and the pain is increasing. I have DH on ER alert in case I think it's warrented. I still cannot tolorate food and boy does Ensure taste like ICK but at least there is some nutrition being pumped into my body. I will be calling the DR tomorrow instead of waiting until Wednesday for my appointment. I just feel to yucky to wait any longer.

Take care,

HRT question...

To all of my HysterSisters who have had to have their ovaries removed, like me , I am not of menopause age yet, just turned 40........but what are you all doing or taking, for the hormone replacement therapy? My Doc put me on Estradiol 2 mg per day, but I hope to eventually find a Natural Hormone to take that will be as effective.

Had some Insomnia this week already, and a nightsweat or two, even though our temp outside is 26 degrees, but all-in-all, I've been OK for one week without my ovaries! But we know that will not continue!

Thank you, Brooke

Leg Cramps?

Hello Sisters, is any one else experiencing lower leg/calf area leg cramps? My calves feel so tight and stiff since yesterday, and I am walking around the house all day, so it's not from "not using" the legs. No swelling and redness (like a thrombo or clot), but definate tightness and muscle soreness in the lower legs.

Besides all of the other Recovery Symptoms we are going through this week of Surgery, I just was not expecting this also!

(ps, thank you Montana for your note! I will try 1 mg Estradiol per day now!)

Geez Sarrah...I'm so sorry that you having a such a rough time of it. As far as Ensure goes...maybe have DH whip up a yogurt smoothie in the blender for you. Have you ever has those Emergen -C packets. They sell them at Whole Foods and Wild Oats out here but I think alot of mainstream groceries have them. Add them to the smoothie and you'll get a better tasting nutrient drink. Just mixing them with water would be good too.

Ellie...Really...I'm working on this project and pampering at the same time! Really I am. I take breaks and nap and every afternoon since surgery I've laid back and watched a movie. Also...my girlfriends have taken turns bringing dinner over every night since surgery. I'm a bit spoiled!

Made it to the library today and it seemed to go well. Got a bit crampy (gas?) at the end of the voyage but came home and rested and it went away.

Someone's at the door...write more later
