I had the laparoscopic surgery as well and it has been a pretty smooth recovery with the exception of a lovely UTI that morphed into a yeast infection. Infections are clearing up now. I still have a cold (started last Sat) but that s getting better as well.

Gettingaway - My right side seemed to be taking a little longer to heal as well - if I ever feel any pain these days it's there and my Dr could tell from my exam last week that a suture on that side hadn't healed yet and that's why I was bleeding a bit more than usual. The bleeding has since tapered off.

I did start back working this week and since I have a cold I moved even more slowly but have been doing all right. I can go for hours forgetting that I had the hyst but when I bend over to get into a low file drawer I get a little reminder!

I think the thing to be careful about is feeling so good that I over do it. I'm working on being really conscious of this.

Brain fog - is anyone else experiencing this? I'm having trouble with word and name recall.

I think I need a princess treatment to celebrate my first week at work. Maybe a pedicure or something!

I got some GREAT news today! I was originally told that I might have hyperplasia with atypia and be pre-cancer. The oncologist emailed me tonight to say that there was NO cancer.

What a RELIEF! I've been dealing with this worry since last May. I'm getting myself something special from the store tonight to celebrate.

children/ babies mentioned

Today is 4 weeks post op. Yay!! I am feeling ok. I have had some really rough days this week. I went to a child's bday party on sat and it was a 1 1/2 hour (3 total). The party was at chuck e cheese. I was down in the back for 3 days or I should say up in the back because I could not sit for long. Then since I was up I probably did too much and got down in the abs. Let's just say that I could not win.

I finally felt better on thurs and DH, DD and I went 45 min both ways to plan DD's birthday party. So, last night and today I have not felt great.

DS(8) and I went to the grocery store and to Dollar Tree after school today. I enjoyed spending time with just him but I do not think that the trip was great on back or abs. I am having pain in my incision area now. Mine is pubic bone to belly button.

I have decided not to go to cousin's baby shower tomorrow. It is 1 1/2 hours away. I could ride with my mom and aunts but I just do not feel up to it. They are all great and no one will be upset with me. I am thrilled for my cousin, his wife has endo too and they are having twins. I just am not up to the ride or the shower right now.

It has been harder to deal with losing the option of more children than I thought that it would be. I know how selfish that sounds since I have 3 wonderful children. I guess that part of me is glad that I am not up to the ride because I am afraid of what going would do to me emotionally. All of this sounds so awful as I am typing it. I know that there are those out there who had to have hyst before they had any children and my heart breaks for them. I remind myself daily how lucky I am.

I hope that I have not upset anyone.

BTW- the dust bunnies are no longer biting at my ankles. My mom came over yesterday and vac'd the whole house. She is the best. She has been keeping my kids for half the day still while DH is at work because I am just not up to full day yet.

I have had lots of one on one time with each child. That is truly a blessing because normally do not get that.

This is so long. I am sorry. I am rambling today..

God Bless
