Joy, She (My Dr.) Just said that she thinks I should see a urologist. She really did not give a reason why she thinks that. She just said that she thinks some of my pain could be coming from the bladder. I am really confused. If nothing comes out of the urologist she said that It could be fibromyalga(?) I might have to go to a Chronic Pain specialist or it could be endo again and I would get back on Lupron and then 6mths later remove Ovies. I kinda feel like she really does not know what is wrong with me. She talked to my PCP and they both agreed that I should see the Urologist. I am NOT gonna wait till March. Today I am gonna see if I can get into another. My Mom thinks I should see another Dr. and get another opion(?). Just frustrated with it all!!

Hi Sisters!

Just checking in! Again, I may not post much anymore, but I do read each and every one of your posts! I am doing really well, with nothing to complain about! I am busy as ever, and my body is keeping up with me, thank God! Today is exactly 6 weeks post-op for me! I thought about how I felt 6 weeks ago, and the night before surgery, and the first 10 days post-op, where I felt really awful, I'd say! All of the stomach problems I've had for nearly 5 weeks post-op, but now I am doing really well!

I am so sorry to hear TL, JG, Tammy, Ellie and others, of the pain and problems you are having still. I do hope and pray that you all get to feeling good again, and your vaginal discharge stops, etc. I luckily stopped all of the vaginal discharge exactly at 3 weeks, and not a spot since, as my cervix (and ovaries) were also removed with my Hyst, so maybe with no cervix means less bleeding, as the cervix can shed too. I am doing great taking care of my two little ones, an infant and a 3 year old, housework, you name it, "back to normal", although at night I am tired!

I did have my 6 week Post Surgery check last week, with my MD/Surgeon, and all is well, and I got a clean bill of health, and I'm able to resume everything, including the "sex department"! haha! Luckily "this" went well too---as you all know he's been *waiting patiently* and chomping-at-the-bits! I did however feel a 'bit' of discomfort the first time of resuming sex, but only at the very end of "our first session together" of resuming the intercoarse, and I think because my cervix was removed, the Doctor said he had to "make a cervical cuff" instead, and this "cuff area" deep inside me, was a bit tender the first time around! My Doctor said to use lots of lubricant the first time of intercoarse, but I found I did not need this! The only thing that 'hurt' was where he (husband) may have hit that cervical cuff area deep inside me, not meaning to, and thankfully he was very gentle and understanding!

Hope all goes better with everyone's healing. I feel very fortunate to actually 'feel good'! I will continue to stay in touch with all of your recoveries!

Much love Sisters!

I went back to work today (nanny). My two little charges were wild!! The weather here has been cold with wind-chill factors, too cold to play outside. We tore apart their family room with rowdy play!! I am so tired and definately swelly belly. Plan to rest with feet up the entire evening...I am already in my pajamas!!

To those of you who are experiencing speedbumps in your recovery; I hope you feel better soon here are a whole bunch of hugs!! I am so glad I met up with you all. I had no idea when I went into surgery what the recovery would be like. My doctor said I would be 'tender for a while'...I think he needs to have his insides removed and the rest rearranged & then he can talk from experience. Don't let your doctor's bully you.

Back to work today too!

Hi all! I went back to work today too, I teach a kind-of strange schedule - I'm 60% time which should be 3 days but since I teach k-5 art & 2nd & 3rd talented/gifted, I chose to spread my time over 4 days. So today, instead of having lots of classes my first day back, I only have 4 classes a day which helps alot. I was so nervous about going back, but got lots of gentle hugs from students and teachers alike.
Sorry to hear about those of you having difficulty still, have been saying prayers and sending kind thoughts your way.

Physically I've done really well, had lost a lot of weight (too much) before surgery due to tons of stress, so have been glad to get my appetite back & put on a few lbs.

Now, if I could just get rid of the stress in my life........
Anyone else just seem to go from one crisis to the next?

Sarah- Remember we Mom's are always right.lol I would guess the not knowing what the problem is is the hardest part. I hope and pray that you will find the answers soon. Stress is worse on our bodies than anything.

Brooke- Glad everything is going so well for you. I too have done well and have thanked God for my recovery. I am still tired somedays, but even that is getting better. Hope your week is a even better one.

Canadian Rainbow- Sounds like you had a quite a day! Hope you get to rest each day when you get home. Thats what I had to do my first week back at work. I did nothing at home. Hope tomarrow is better and take it as easy as you can. Will say a prayer for strength for you.

Laurel- One crisis to the next, I though that was life.lol Glad your first day went well. Will pray for less stress in you life.

To all sisters hope and pray you all get well and are even better than before.
Have a Great week everyone!

I have been kinda laying low this last week I have read everyone's postings. This Wednesday is my 6 week check up I have been up and down as far as my recovery goes. I have 1 more Estradiol patch and I deceided to not use it this week to see what would happen. It looks like my ovaries have jump started because the hot flashes and night sweats have stopped. I am still getting headaches but I think I need to lay off the caffeine for a while. A cup of coffee and a Mountain Dew takes me through my days. I feel like I am ready to go back to work but I am scarred, we hosted a Packer party yesterday and that just wiped me out. So I am for sure going to ask the Dr to release me to start work on Monday the 28th but only 4 hours a day. I do have to agree with you ladies if it wasn't for this site I probably would not have learned as much as I have. I found this site because I had an Endomitrial Ablation procedure in August and research on that procedure I found a message board for that and they refer you to this site when you have a hysterectomy. My insurance company has a nurse contact me every 2 weeks to check on my status and the nurse asked me how I found out so much information and I gave all the credit to this site, she did say that she would inform her other patients of this site. So I thank each and every one of you because without you I know I would have strugggled. I will give an update on the 6 week check up the DH is counting down because he can't wait to get his green light, I swear sometimes he worries about the wrong things. The poor thing has been so patient my cycle came 2 weeks before my surgery so since it has been since November I can understand his count down. Love Ya'll.

6 weeks

Today is my sixth week too! I worried so much about the surgery and now it is 6 weeks behind me. Unlike most of you I am healing in order to get ready for another major surgery and this one scares me more as there is no web site for help and the recovery is just as long if not longer.

As far as the "gree light" department - if you gave up your cervex, the vaginal cuff that is made may create a shorter area than before so your DH needs to know that as it will cause pain. this is another thing that the DRs do not tell you.

I feel almost 90% - few twinges here and there but this discharge and leaking is making me nuts - it has lessened but it is still there. It started about 3 weeks ago and I hope it leaves soon.

Good Day today ladies to all of you!

Thank you LadyDB for this information, and YES, that would have been *nice* to know beforehand from my Doctor, about this newly created "cervical/vaginal cuff area" which was made during surgery, with the removal of my cervix---that infact, I now have a much "shorter vaginal canal" now, post Hysterectomy! No wonder I said "OUCH" at the end of our first time "green light episode"! ~ My Dear Husband asked me "if I needed a Motrin?!".........I laughed and said "No, I just need you OFF of me!" haha!
