lovetowalk -- It isn't because of the surgery that I'm not walking much anymore. It's just my body. I'm a member of the Autoimmune sisters here on this board. I have Hashimoto's Thyroiditis and will be seeing a rheumatologist on Jan. 3 for, possibly, lupus. My energy is just gone. It's all I can do to get up and go to work in the morning. Maybe the amitriptylin will help with sleeping better at night and I'll have more energy. Can't possibly get worse!

I've never heard of these DVD's. I may have to check out our library and see if we have some there. I have an eliptical machine, but that doesn't get used much lately either. By the time I walk up the stairs to the bedrooms, I've had it. I'm totally exhausted by this time of night.

Speaking of this time of night -- time to say goodnight to the kids and get myself into bed before the meds kick in.

I walk some in and out. Yes, it's mostly warm here, but we've been having rain.

You motivated me to try a Leslie program tomorrow with major modifications. My doc said to ease back into workouts. It's hard to know for sure what is acceptable. I'm still healing and on restrictions.

I went to the doc yesterday and she said I'll should expect to see a discharge within the next week as the internal stitches will be dissolving from the vaginal cuff. She told me not to be concerned with any of that unless I'm having a 100.4 temp.

Ladies, save me a seat! I had a LSH on 10/31 and had problems with my bladder immediately following surgery. I couldn't urinate for 3 days on my own so they continually straight cath'd me until my dr. ordered for the foley to be put in over-night. So what turned out to be a over-night stay in the hospital turned out to be 3 days. Then two weeks later back in the hospital for 5 days with an abscess and blood clot. I think that probably happened immediately after surgery because each day I had more pain the when I woke up from surgery. Then 4 weeks following surgery, bacterial infection of my cervix. Now, 7 weeks later, tired and still spotting but glad to be alive! My husband and kids have been wonderful to me thru all of this.

I thought the discharge was normal recovery.I`m 7 weeks post op and am having the same discharge and am going to the dr today. Some people i know are back to work and doing fine . It makes me feel as if I`m a wuss. But I feel better knowing I`m not alone having post op problems

you are not wussy. I was off almost 7 weeks. I worked 2 half days this week and one full day. I came home completely and utterly pooped. I went for the full day yesterday only because I'm off for the holidays now.

It might be easier at work. I've got to get ready for a house full of inlaws for the weekend. I'll have to get the kiddos on some jobs. I'm going minimal for decorations. Merry Christmas.

I had my surgery two years ago yesterday. I've not had any problems and I did real well during the Christmas season that year. I scheduled mine at that time so my daughter would be home to help take care of me.
