No internal exam at 6 week check-up?

I would call your dr and ask. You should have been given a release to resume normal activities. I would ask though, it's best to be cautious.

No internal exam at 6 week check-up?

I had to go in at 4 days post op because I had a fever. She checked down there, with the speculum and then her fingers to see if there was an infection. I assume she will be checking at my 2 week also.

I would do you know if you can have sex if it is not healed?

Tell us what they say!

No internal exam at 6 week check-up?

vinjenny are you from the UK? I didn't haved an internal but was released at six weeks for all activites. My Gyn did lots of prodding though. Seems to be standard practice in the UK.

I was checked at 6 weeks -- and told to wait as i still had stiches -- but no check up after wards.

Did you have cervix removed? that may play into it also .

I wuould suggest you call your dr.

No internal exam at 6 week check-up?

I was checked internally and lots of tummy mashing yesterday at my 6 wk check. I"m still healing and looked "raw." No activities for me. Even with this, my doc said that I'm doing fine and that this is not unusual. I go back in one week. I'm sure that I'll have the same exam then.

I must not be doing or not doing anything to hinder my healing since my doc didn't mention any particulars.

I'm to stay off work for another week. Gradually, ease back into whatever. This is what i've been doing.

Today, i feel sore and emotional. This is probably normal.

No internal exam at 6 week check-up?

I had an internal exam at 6 weeks. He put the silver cold tool in that they use to do a pap smear to look at the stitches and pointed out to the nurse that the stitches are still there but dissolving as they should. He released me with no restrictions but told me to ease into all activities including lifting and sex.

No internal exam at 6 week check-up?

I had no internal at six weeks and was told that due to my complications, there was simply no possibility that I had healed yet, and he wasn't going to bother me with an internal. I was kept on full restrictions (other than working and driving -- so I guess no lifting, housework or sex is all!) for another four weeks, so my ten week post-op (scheduled for 12/26) will be my first internal. Merry Christmas to me!

What exactly DID the appointment consist of, if you were swooshed through then? Did you at least get a Q&A session with your doc?

No internal exam at 6 week check-up?

I asked a few questions, but I since have another appt in one week due to needing more healing I saved some questions for next time.

I'm really sore today. I figure it's from yesterday's exam. I had the internal and the forever belly mashing.

I did not realize that the doc can actually see inside. Is this right? One of my questions was about my bladder sling. I had this surgery several years ago. She said that it looked fine. I asked you could see it. yes. Well, I should have figured since she was "looking" at my insides.

So, I'm sure that I will have another internal next week. I hope to get full clearance for my anniversary on the 28th.

The internal didn't hurt, but it was strange. My belly numbness was weird with the mashing.
