Blood Work Problems Post-Op

Fever, intense pain and bad smelling discharge (alot of it, several thick overnight pads a day).

Those are my symptoms anyway.

Hopefully your infection will heal quickly with the meds, so you can get on with the whole healing process.

I was a few weeks behind schedule also, but with a bladder problem that was caused from a foley catheder balloon not inserted properly and was blown up in my urethra instead of my bladder. That put me back in the hospital for three more days and a week at home with a cath. Slowly but surely, (and I never thought it would get better) things are getting back to normal in that department. I feel like if I didn't have that crazy glitch...I would be almost perfect now!

It seems like most of us go through something other than the norm. Someday you will be comforting someone else that is going through what you are. And you will also say...hang in does get better!

Michelle - am so sorry you are still experiencing trouble! hang in there girl - this too shall pass.

I also had a vaginal cuff infection. My symptoms were fever, lethargy (felt like my arms weighed 50 lbs each, ZERO energy), and a general feeling of being very unwell, .ike I was about to get super sick. I was in pain but it wasn't severe for me. I have a very high pain threshold though.

Hugs again Michelle!

Thank you for all the kind words.

I'm going to beat this and am determined that when I go back on 12/26 my infection will be gone and I will be released cancer free for a year!
