The results are in!

Well, the results are in and (insert drum roll) they came back NORMAL . I feel like . DH is taking me out for dinner tonight. I just can't believe it. I even asked the doctor to double check the name and birthdate just to be sure (he said he already did). The receptionist was so sweet. At this office if your PAP is normal the tech can tell you so, if not, the doctor tells you so so that you can ask questions and talk about the next step. When I called she said "They're normal--I'm not supposed to tell you because he wants to tell you himself, but I didn't want you to worry when he comes on the phone." How perceptive of her!! She knew I'd pass out from sheer panic if she'd put him on the phone. Thank the Lord! They are normal. I still can't believe it. I'll be saying it all night.

Many, many thanks, dear sisters for holding my hand and sitting here with me while I chewed off my fingernails waiting. I will never be able to sufficiently express the depth of my gratitude for all your care and support. I know there's still the possibility it could recur in the future, but at least I now know there's also the possibility that it won't recur (I have proof that a PAP can be normal). Now if I can just remind myself that I still need to take care of myself and eat well and rest appropriately, maybe my body will take care of itself like it should!

to all of you.

Isn't that one of the best feelings? Ya-Hoo!! I'm so happy for you!! When I call for my results, I have been known to ask, "Are you sure? Do you have the right chart?"
(When I had my biopsy I was told that it was fine, and then she said, "Oh wait, wrong chart!)

Thanks to all for sharing my happiness. It is a wonderful feeling indeed! DH and I went out for dinner and it was great to sit there and talk and laugh without that nagging thought of "what if?" in the back of my mind. I'm good to go until September now!
