I had that burning pulling about theincision also...I think that some of the area that was traumatized by the surgery "wakes up". I actually have more tenderness above the incision than before and thought as you did, did I do too much. But I think the pain is really the skin and not internal from overdoing....at least that is what I think for today...tomorrow could be a whole other story.....catch ya later - Suzyq

I am having the same pulling/burning as you all.. sounds like it must be pretty normal!!

fit&ready... my MIL told me that if I see something "purpleish" when I pee, it is the stitches, so I'm sure that's what you saw!!

Thank you all for indulging my earlier post... but I need to make one thing clear...... I did NOT say I was okay with GRAY HAIR!!!! Ha!! Thank goodness for Nice 'n Easy!!

Hugs to you all....

Now that it's been decided the burning pulling is normal, is anyone having itching? It's not a yeast infection, more like irritation maybe from the cath? But why still? I'm using something to help it feel more comfortable, but when I don't use it, it drives me nuts! Any ideas?

Kwin - I had the itching too, actually describe as a feeling of "puckering" (for lack of a better description) and i asked doc for yeast med which I haven't used. I wasn't sure what it was for a couple of days, but realized if it was yeast it would have gotten really bad really quickly....I think it is just dryness. I bought the personal mositure from the Hysterisister store but haven't used it yet...people gave it good reviews....you might still want your doc to check it out...

Even if you use Nice and Easy on your head....there are still give a way spots for some of us of a certain age......

5 week post op for me. Made a mistake today while helping my boyfriend babysit for his 3 year old nephew. I was sitting on the couch and picked him up. Big mistake.

My doctor is increasing my HRT and in a couple of weeks will start adding other types. He told me I was taking only 1/12th of what I was getting before my ovaries were removed. I had been on hormones before to keep my PCOS in check. No wonder I was miserable with hot flashes. He will add Progesterone next and then Testosterone. Being only 39 he said I need more Estrogen then my surgeon prescribed. Since this doctor is a Reproductive Endocrinologist and has been treating me for years I will let him deal with it. The surgeon did his job but I think my Endo needs to deal with this from now on.

I hope to get my cast off of my foot on Thursday. I can't wait to walk. I have been out of touch with the group for over a week. My BF had surgery two weeks ago. I had another surgery on the same day, and my BF's mother has been in the hospital. To top it all off the washing machine blew up on us. I am not kidding the rotten thing blew out a bunch of parts under it. What a mess. I had a whole load in it and had to wring it out and take it to the laundromat. New washer should be delivered tomorrow.

Thanks for the info about the burning/pulling info. I haven't had the itching but it sounds like we are all having about the same symptoms.
I'm taking 600mg motrin, but I don't think it helps with that pain. I have been quite swelled this week??

The itching/puckering? It's just dryness. I began having it occasionally right after I turned forty. Now that I don't have any estrogen at all, it's getting worse--especially after a nice hot shower!
Just use a tiny bit of KY, etc. Also, if it's really bad, you can ask your doctor about estrogen cream. My Dr. said even I could use that if needed, because the amount of estrogen taken in is so low.
