Annie - I still think a hysto song would be a hit!

I figured out today why I'd been so exhausted, my labs came back and my thyroid is low, so one more pill to take every day - oh joy. I swear, I'm beginning to feel like I'm 100 years old with all the junk I'm taking. I have heard hyroid issues are common post-op hysto, not sure why, but I'm still going to say I'm normal (and if anyone tells me different, I'll have a menopause moment on them!)

Mimilu, how did it go with the radiology doc?

Worked all day yesterday, had to bag on going to L.A., now I'm sick. Plus I lost one of my classes to a full-timer. Life sucks this week.

annie- sent you a pv. email about song writing... my ds has some of his really rough songs- posted on in isound.com/falling_rain just wondered your opinion.
anyhow- sorry thought your message was posted today. hope all went well on the job and you didnt get hit by any tornados- geeze.

we are in the middle of a blizzard here, and i still have to drive home from work. almost lost control once on the way in. im so nervous driving since surgery- dont know if its the fear of goofing up my new car-or going back to that nasty hospital.

my thyroid dr. said the hysto wouldnt affect thyroid levels. mine were normal to start with - i just have goiter and nodules. maybe if they were off to start with that makes a difference.

Annie - Everything okay after the tornados? I thought you about this morning when I watched the news. One thing about the Pacific NW, we may not get snow much, but at least the weather is pretty boring overall!

Hope you all weathered them if they hit your direction.
K

PS - Spyrofan, I'm sorry about your mom, tomorrow is 4 years for me.

Hi ladies.... YES, we made it through the tornados!! No family or friends were hurt either....although for the first time ever, my ds and I headed over to a neighbors basement for shelter. DH was at a hockey game and they locked down the arena. It was scary. Alot of people died, were injured, or lost property. Please keep all those unlucky ones in your prayers.

Fit....I got your pv email. I will listen and get back to you soon!

My writing went terrific today!! Yee-haw!! Such a relief..... Although we DID have a tough time trying to rhyme with HBI. ha! Just kidding.... didn't write a hysto recovery song yet!!!

Gotta go fix dinner... i'll write more later!!

Buddy to Buddy

Today is Buddy To Buddy day. Us women are supposed to remind each other to do their monthly breast exam.

With all of us having so many hormone fluctuations we need to be diligent about checking our breasts and start noticing any changes.

So let's all take 15 minutes for ourselves tonight and do a self breast exam.

Evening ladies....got back this afternoon from the NY trip for my step dad's funeral. His kids spoke so well, even including my mom and family in their comments. It was nice to see family but very sad. After his funeral in the cemetary I went over to where my parents are.... that's when I really lost it.....this March is 6 years since my mom died....it seems as I get older I miss her more and have more things I would like to talk to her about...anyway...I had some good new york bagels and pizza and tomorrow is back to work...its kind of hard because you know when you feel OK and when you need to call it quits and once you are back everyone thinks you are better and should resume all of your responsibilites and hours....

Tomorrow at work we have a night time district family event and I would have to be there until like 6 from about 7:30 in the morning....I don't feel like I am ready for a day like that, plus a 40 minute drive at each end...so based on so much going on at school....I decided to go to school and take care of business and NOT go to the district family science and tech forum. I think it is more imprtant to get the building back in order. I am sure parents wouold like to see my face at the event, however I think I need to be in school with the kids..... always having to weigh priorities in our lives huh ladies???? I will probably hit the sack soon, and won't have time for any exercise until probably Friday...even if I come home regualr time tomorrow, I doubt I will be ready to exercise. Anyway one new day at a time and look for the blessing in each day....catch you ladies tomorrow. - Suzyq

annie- glad to hear you and your family are ok. the news sure showed a mess down there! (he posted the songs a long time ago, and like i said they are rough cuts- oh and the "memories of a friend" i actually wrote that about a friend who passed away and he wrote the music for me which really touched me that he would do that for me)

We ended up gettting 10-13 inches of snow last night -so am off today- I cant make it down our side road and so will have to work on friday instead. youngest ds actually called from work and had to stay in town with a friend- just 3 miles away- because he heard there were 8 people in the ditch along that route home. not sure when he will be able to get home today either. I am going to go out and shovel a bit- just dont want to overdo- so it will be more playing around.

susyq- so sorry about your loss and dealing with it all- but glad you got back ok. so the trip -with just the kids along- went ok? its hard to keep everyone happy and I cant even imagine trying to keep that many parents happy!
