Has anyone besides me had a serous drainage spot? Mine stopped for a week then my incision was killing me and today it just exploded all over my pants I felt the wetness and reached down with my hand and it was covered in bloody discharge draining from the hole but my incision sure feels better since it broke open. Tommorrow I am calling the office caz I start RAD-vaginal on Tuesday....weird

I'm worn out.... been taking care of my elderly parents all weekend. They are in an assisted-living home near me, but they have both been hit with a bad stomach virus, and can't eat anything without throwing up. Since Mom is diabetic her blood-sugar dropped to 39 last night and they had to call an ambulance to take her to the ER. I spent most of the night there last night, now she's back home but still very weak.....she still won't eat, seems to be getting dehydrated and her blood-sugar is still too low. Mom is 81 and Dad is 83. I totally expect to be back in the hospital by the morning..... Dad is sick too. Seems a bad bug has invaded the whole assisted-living area and the poor caregivers just can't handle everyone being sick at the same time, so I've been staying there as much as possible to monitor their status. It's so exhausting... and emotionally draining to watching them so fragile like that.

I've started getting bills..... looks like i'm out of pocket about $3000.00 so far!! ugh! I've got crappy insurance.... it's so hard when you are self-employed.

F&R.... can you come paint my house too?? :-) Just kidding.... It needs it BAD, but I just don't have the energy to direct there right now!

I can't EVEN think about Taxes right now!! Double ugh!! I usually do them in April..... but I DO get them done before the 15th!

Going to bed now so I can get rest.... I'll probably be taking care of the folks again tomorrow. It breaks my heart to see them both sick like this!! ... and yes, my abdomen is sore still.... almost feels like I've taken a couple of weeks backwards in my recovery progress. Night ladies!

Annie- So sorry your parents aren't doing well, but you take care of yourself too... remember you still somewhat recovering! In fact, thats probably what that soreness in the abdomin is telling you.

Well ----i meant to get started on that painting and will soon. i started cleaning instead and got side tracked. accomplished something anyhow. The reason im motivated is because youngest ds graduates in june and we will be having a party here. But once its warm enough to be outside, the house gets neglected. (ie:Im a gardener and bike rider)

off to try and find something warm to wear to work, fun - fun.

Awfully quiet on this board lately....I am on vacation and have slipped back into my princess days the last few days....tired, relaxing, sipping coffee and watching QVC....I have some doc appointments over the next few days that I neglected to take care of when I was recouperating so I willl get them over with now.. Hope to get to the gym, maybe catch a movie. I started taking Alli this morning so I will be doing my eating at home this week to be sure i get the hang of this plan. It seems different than what I am used to doing, but I need a change and what I used to do hasn't worked well lately (probably because I haven't been so diligent with it) will let you all know how it goes. Other than that I too have issues with incision still hurting. I was doing pre tax paper work and had piles of papers all over and I kept bending over from the couch to reach a pile on the floor and my abdomen was telling me not a good idea to keep doing, even after 8 weeks!!! I guess it does take a while. Hope you all have a good evening and I will visit during coffee in the morning.... hugs to all - Suzyq

I wasn't getting any emails notifying me of new posts on the board....

Anyone notice a lower immune system lately? Getting sick going back to work or anything? I got strep throat this week...feel like I've been on antibiotics almost the entire 8 weeks with something or another.

I have been so tired from working that I wasn't making it to the gym after work (no way!)...so I bought a cheapie treadmill and have it set up in the middle of the living room for now. No excuses at all anymore!!! And darn it my belly is still swollen.

I cross country skiied on the lake this weekend...I was grinning ear to ear and the happiest I have been in so long because it was a normal activity I could do without being exhausted (well, hbi's don't count since I'm a happy camper in that dept.), a beautiful day, and my boyfriend and I took tons of pictures...needed that before another long week at work!

Hey ladies, it's been a few weeks....

Hi ladies,

It's been a few weeks since I last stopped in. I'm back to everything 110%, with no issues, pains or complaints. It's almost as though it never happened except no more bleeding and pain on a monthly basis. Who knew everyday could be normal for a change!!!!

Those of you that are still having issues, I wish you a speedy recovery. It does get better and life marches on

caa00: I am on my third virus in the last 8 weeks. Seems I get over one and catch another. I am glad I did get a flu shot this year.

I had my eight week checkup on Friday and still had some issues with granulation. Dr did another silver nitrate treatment. I still have alot of pain, soreness and swelling in my belly. Dr seems to think that the pain could be caused by something else. He is giving me 4 weeks and if it is not better he wants me to have a CT scan. I am not really worried. It seems that alot of ladies are having the same issues as me at this stage. I will go back in 2 weeks to check on the granulation issue. I have had constant spotting since my hyst. Hopefully that will stop soon. The one thing I was looking forward to was no more periods and here I am still with pain and bleeding for 8 weeks no less!!!!!

Donna I too still have issues, I start Rad tomorrow and my belly after stopping the drainage for over a week, burst open like an explosion and I bled all over my pants and underwear and floor. My incision was so sore I thought it would all burst but just the same hole as B4. I'm tired caz I had to stop all my special things I take due to Rad treatments. I keep a runny nose and my eyes burn...I am sick of feeling sick.
