HI ladies...it feels like it has been so long...I have been on vacation this week and have relaxed for much of it...errands...transporting kids, taxes, college financial aid forms, the usual chores, some doc. visits....and afternoon naps....I have started to exercise a bit more and actually did 20 minutes on the elliptical, the most I have done since the surgery (sad huh?) I will try to do that again today....

I also started taking Alli a couple of days ago so I have been spending some time on that website too....it sounds like everyone is doing well and has mostly put their hyst. behind them....hope everyone has a chance to post over the weekend so we can play catch up....happy day to all. - Suzyq

I very much relate to concentration issues...it's like a part of my brain left during recovery and it's not awake yet...keep dropping balls that would usually be no problem.

I can't wear my jeans, eventhough the scale says I'm 6 lbs lighter than preshyst...so I guess there must still be swelling...it's aggravating that casual Friday can't be casual! I'm sick to death of those sweats!

I think I'm at the point where doing too much creeps up on me. I'm getting really tired in my abdomen by midday -- try to rest, can't always (esp. on Tuesday). Lost 3.5 lbs, then something kicked in within me and I've been eating -- why can't I enjoy doing something positive for myself, I always have to sabotage it? At least my load got reduced this semester, albeit involuntarily, a full-timer had to take a class to make up on his load, and he took mine. So now I'm trying to devote Monday and Wednesdays to rest and light computer work.

Hi ladies...

I'm still fighting the concentration/energy issues too. Also the swelling/pressure in my lower belly.... right above and below the incision. I've had a crazy week, with all my family being sick and trying to take care of them. Right when i was ready to get back to work, all heck broke loose around here. ds came down with it on wed... after getting my parents and dh back on their feet.... As of last night I started feeling sick and today I have lost my voice. <sigh> I'm really getting frustrated with NOT feeling well.... it seems like right when I get one thing fixed something else goes wrong! ugh!!

Soprano.... yesterday I sang in the studio for four hours, which is the most I've tried to sing since surgery.... today my stomach is REALLY sore!! Have you had that?

suzyq.... what's alli?

mollie... i'm with you... SICK of wearing sweat pants too!! I can put on my jeans but after a couple of hours i'm miserable and tearing them off for something that's stretchy!!

fit... of COURSE it's muscle!! :-) Have a good "boy-free" weekend!

I've got a "boy free" weekend too...yeah! I'm working a bit late tonight so that Monday maybe I won't feel quite so behind...hard to believe I've been back to work a month...I'm ready for my brain to engage again...atleast my typing skills seem to have returned!
Have a good weekend ----

I usually don't sing/rehearse for that long a block (usually 2.5-3 hours max), and mine isn't constant. So from where I am -- no wonder your stomach is sore!!! But I do feel it from teaching, though.

Swelly Belly still. Anyone else still struggling with this? My weight has stayed constant. I need to start physical therapy this week so I hope that will help. I have done a few crunches but my belly is more swollen then ever. Any suggestions?

We just replaced the lights in our upper landing hallway with the new energy efficient ones. They are much brighter. I think I will be doing some painting mow myself. Amazing how much you don't notice in a dark hallway. Of course once I paint I will want new carpets too. lol

Great job on getting motivated. I think a little pain is fine just don't overdo it.
