F&R - You did well. Congrats!! As for The3Day (search the site under .com) I walk a lot at work, and the dragstrip with my dh, as well as training walks around town. By day 3 of the walk, I'm tired, but its so fulfilling. It's for a good cause, breast cancer. I think the harder part is the August heat. You get snack stops along the way, as well as sweep vans if there are problems. It is a great bonding time for my dd and myself. Since she's moved out, and married, we don't see each other as much.
One step at a time....it can change someone's life. -Kathy Pignato

Just checking in. I went to the doctor last week and he said my vaginal cuff still hasn't healed 100% so he did the silver nitrate treatment and I have to go back in 2 weeks to see if it's any better. So, that's what was causing my spotting. He also put me on Estrace cream and Estratest for my hormones. I have been reading about both of these medicines on the internet and the only one I'm concerned about is it says Estratest can make you gain weight and I'm really paranoid about that because I have worked hard to lose 58 lbs. in the last 9 months. Other than that, I'm doing well. Thinking of all you other ladies and hope everyone has a good weekend.

F&R - YIPPEE!!!! You did awesome! We all have webbed feet out here because fall/winter/spring all mean rain/rain/rain!!! The end uf June it's usually an easy forcast!

Jill - I take Estratest, and I've actually lost 10+ pounds since surgery. I can't attrbute it to exercise, because I don't! Don't worry, just be aware of it and it won't sneak up on you.

Night ladies!

perk of having a hysterectomy...

dh and i were talking about when we wanted to go camping this year....
all of a sudden he looks at me and says- "Hey dont forget to figure out when you period will be" then put this big grin on his face. Too funny.

Its so nice not to plan around that anymore- guess this summer will be really different that way.

F&R, GREAT JOB!! 15 min miles is a respectable pace and you made it!!! I heard the 6-12 months to feel 100% somewhere along the "hyst" journey. I try to be patient with myself as I work back up to pre-surgery level that it will take a while. I guess 6 months is my goal, although I hadn't thougth about it that way before

Start working harder on diet tomorrow. I have really let that piece go since surgery and gain back the 8 or so pound I lost pre-op. I need to loose at least 20 and really 40, so wish me luck!!

The no period thing is the GREATEST!!! No planning, no worrying!! Life really is good

Happy healing to all Beth

Hey Everyone. You guys are in such good shape. I will get there once my body goes into remission from this crohns flare-up (Thinking positive and starting to feel somewhat better).

I love my DH. He has been a true blessing.

I have lost 10 lbs since my surgery. I am now 155. My DH works out consistently and is in great shape. Is a pretty big guy about 6"1 and weighs 265 lbs. He benches well over 400 but has never maxed out.
I want to be in great shape also, I plan on starting to work out with him and we can be the dynamic Duo (HAHAHA)

Talk to you girls later.

Bethany glad your on the right track to feeling better! And even thinking about working out is a step in the right direction: as we all know its 90% mind set.

I was out of shape for so long ... that i still have a hard time thinking of myself as a fit person. In some ways it keeps me working out and others it makes me frustrated. My goal now is just to accept my "46 year old body for what it is. Think that is ever possible for a woman?

Acceptance...yes, that's the goal...I do pretty well in my mind, but then I see a photo of myself and it disintegrates!
