Kelp has iodine in it good for thyroid, You can get it in pills, It's from seaweed. Here's a good article on it. Hope it comes through.

i often wonder if my low sodium diet feeded the growth of my goiters. Though my dr. claims that the iodine in table salt is not the same type.

thanks the link worked. how much do you take a day - as sounds like they are tablets?

Hi Ladies...

I just came back from THE most amazing vacation EVER!! Orlando was perfect! Exactly what dh and I needed after a rough winter. It was the first time I've ever been gone from home where I wasn't itching to get home... i was even thinking of extending the trip a couple of more days, but then dh reminded me of things we HAD to get done at home and reality set in. Darn it!!

One of the things I need to recommend to anyone going to the Orlando area is Discovery Cove. It's part of SeaWorld and you get to swim with the dolphins!! I'm not really an "outdoorsy" kind of gal, and when they asked if I wanted to do it, I almost opted out, but BOY am I glad I did it!! One of the coolest things I've ever done....seriously.

NOT having to worry about starting my period while I was gone was nice too!! At least there are SOME benefits from what we went through last December! LOL

Fit&Ready/KELP-HELP

Yep just 1 tiny pill a day, Why do you think they put Iodine in salt? LOL Doc's just slay me...I know a lady that had goiter so bad. So she hired some man to come out and put in a well in her backyard even tho she had city water and her goiter problem went away. Minerals in the water inclueding Iodine. She told me to bring my bottles and fill when ever I wanted and said how awful city water was. I buy Mountain Valley mineral water since my cancer and surgery tho. We get it delivered to house 4 five gallons last me 3 weeks and I use it for everything. Try the Kelp..Can't hurt it's just from seaweed. I even eat seaweed Krunchies I get at whole foods, I love them!!! Hug's, Mary

Fit&ready

went down to almost nothing, Yes try the Kelp. And their are minerals you can buy at health food store to recharge your drinking water, Have you seen all the news on the plastic bottles? even baby bottles all with chemicals in plastic even canned foods. Try to find H20 with glass bottles. Heres a bit on it: http://money.aol.com/usat/general/da...-bpa-problemIt can cause all kinds of problems.

Hello ladies.

Goiters - I had never even heard of a goiter before. I must really be out of the loop. I drink a lot of bottled water. I guess I should watch this now.

I had my CT SCAN yesterday. I will know something more on tomorrow when I go back to the GI doctor for follow-up.

I went out yesterday and bought some shoes and an outfit. I feel really good. OMG I can not believe it. 5 pain free days. I am so happy and I am enjoying every minute. I pray for this to continue.
