5 months and new pain when bladder and bowels are full??

Hello ladies! It's been a while since I posted as up until about 2 months ago, all was fine.
But has anyone been experiencing pain with TVH, in the lower abdomen when either your bladder or bowels are even the slightest bit full?

My back feels better, but I'm still having odd vaginal pressure - anyone else who had prolapse have this issue? I'm so tired of being aware of my va-j-j!
Anyway, otherwise my energy level is ok - but I'm still weepy! Ya'll hang in there...I spoke with a dr. friend over the weekend who said a lot of discouraging things about how my recovery is going - that I should have gone to a different dr. (I'm having large leaking issues that I didn't have pre-surgery, and he says I should have had sling)...I'm thinking about getting a second opinion if some of these things don't improve. Blessings sisters!

I've had the same feeling, but I was a TAH/BSO. Like you said it's only when the bladder or bowels are full. I'm not thrilled, but for now it not an interference, just there. I"m hoping it's just scar tissue, and my body adjusting to the empty space. I've also noticed a twinge/cramp in the same area, when I've been walking and lifting patients on a busy shift. Not so much on a regular patient load.

So do you think all this is caused by the hyster or we just attribute all our new stuff too it??

The leaking post hyst (urine) is really well known and documented. If you have even the slightest urine leak pre-op you should have had a sling or TVT. I had just a little leak pre-op, mainly with sneezing and that is why I had the sling. Mollie if you had leaking pre-op then your doctor did it wrong. If you didn't then you are just one of the lucky ones to develope this new issue. Good news is the sling alone is minor day surgery. My boss had it and took off like 3-4. Have you tried Keggles? They are always the first thing to stop the leaking.

I am having some bowel issues. Much tougher to go despite high fiber diet and increased fluids. Not happy about it, but not bothered enough to look into it yet.

The hyst still remains one of the best decisions I ever made!! I had no idea how draining and uncomfortable it all was until the "dreadful beast" was removed!!

Leaky Me

I am also experiencing the gushing urine when I cough. I developed a terrible cough about 4 weeks ago, along with gagging and at times, it ends in vomiting. This is associated with allergies, but it has never been this bad. I haven't been able to sleep through the night in weeks without major coughing fits. I went to the doctor today and he did a vaginal exam to check for prolapse. He said I didn't have any significant dropping of the cervix or uretha and didn't recommend the surgery yet. As for the allergies, I am taking fexofenadine, mucinex and benadryl (sometimes all at once) to survive this horrible allergy season. Anybody got any other suggestions?

Whoopee, I'm loving the "No Period" thing!!!

Hello All. I have not posted in a while because I have been really swamped with all the normal daily things that we get from life. I am still not in remission. I am taking 6MP now and I wil start weening off of the prednisone on friday. So next week I will have a better idea as to whether it is working. I hope so. I have been feeling ok. Still eating Tuna and broiled fish. I have taken on more responsibility at my job and will be having commencement at the end of the month. I am finally finished with my BS in Business Management after going back to school. I appreciate school way more now as an adult. I hope everyone is doing well and I will make sure I post more frequently.
