I'm 9 days out and I've gotten weepy too. I know exactly where you are coming from about the housework and asking for help. I just ran my M-I-L out and sent her home b/c I didn't want to ask her to do specific things, like clean up the dirty kitchen she left after being here a few days. I'm afraid I've overdone it too. I hope your weekend gets better. I know that it takes time.

Hey BlueWillow1960,

I'm in Ohio too, same surgery day. Nice to meetcha. I had TAH/BSO and I felt just great when I got home and I do still feel pretty good, but I did not have vaginal bleeding until ten-days post-op, and I have more pain than when I first came home. My MIL (she is a nurse) is staying with us for a few days says this is perfectly normal, in fact, she was a little shocked at how well and much I am moving around the house. I do take it slow though. DH, MIL, DS will not let me do much, but I putz around doing little things.

msmech. becareful of that antibotic with new years coming up and a glass of wine- i think thats the one that will make you really sick if you drink.

Cant believe how feel human tonight. i snuck in a load of towels in laundry, but did have ds, take them out and put in dryer- since I think they were over my ten lb limit. then did dishes and cleaned up the kitchen- never thought id say whoohoo to that.

thanks Fit&Ready. Fortunately (or unfortunately some days) I don't drink. The pharmacist did say it reacts even with the small amount of alcohol in things like listerine.

Lawyer-- take it easy. If my hubby read sthat I am in trouble.

Sounds like Fit&Ready is doing great. My hubby is in there now cleaning the kitchen so we can cook dinner with our kids. I'll be in for it when he finds out about F&R ;-)

msmech- thought you probably knew- but would have felt bad had you not and celebrated and got sick.
lawyer42- i wont tell if you dont. lol
keep in mind my dh made me go sit down when i offered to cook dinner. the cleaning part was my idea. (I secretly think he thinks if i take it easy i will heal faster - and then six weeks will come faster for him- hate to break it to him- buts its 42 days no matter what he does) lol.

Dr said everything looked great but when I got home I was bleeding vaginally, Dr said it was from the bartolin cyst he sewed open. Last night I got a fever to 102 degrees and today Im still feeling woozy and my lower tummy is hard and hurts around the incision. Im also getting alot of white tissue type stuff from the tummy drainage tube. Anyone know what that may be?

Sounds like you might have an infection. I would call the MD right a way. My MD specifically told me to call with a temp greater than 101. Hope everything works out.

Hey I did call the dr last night and they called in keflex, The fever broke last night about 1am but Im still having the pain and tightness. The dr said if I still had the fever today to call back. Sorry if I forgot to mention that in the earlier post!

I was really wondering about the tightness and what the white stuff is coming from the drain tube.
