Hi hystersisters!
It's so fun to read all the post, I do have to ask though (and don't think I'm stupid) is there reallly a count down calendar somewhere on the site or are you all just talking about your own calendars????
Just wanted to know....

Thanks NurseDeb....I never thought about going to a health store and getting something "natural" to help me sleep! That's what I'll do tomorrow if I have another bad night tonight!!! Good idea!

That's what is SO great about this site! having help from the sisters!!

Vacation girl... I don't know if you are going out of the country for your vacation, but I'd really consider going somewhere tonight and getting your feet looked at by a dr.! I'd hate for you to have your vacation ruined!! I'd LOVE to be going on a nice trip somewhere.... I hope you have a LOVELY time!!

My DH knows I talk about him on here.... he thinks it's funny! He's always asking me "what are the sisters talking about today?.....sex?" ha! I told him it's usually one of the three "p's"..... pain, peeing, or pooping.... but lately it's been more about sex so that MUST mean we are all getting better! Whoo-hoo!

Ya'll have a good night!!

Hello ladies.

This if my 4th week after surgery and so far it's been the better, finally the spotting stopped, no pain, and lots of energy, I'm also being able to sleep thru the night.

I agree with you, it's nice to have this site, it's really helpful to have somebody to chat with about my ups, downs and concerns without feeling stupid or weird.

Hi ladies just wanted to check in and say today was a good day but I was completely lazy feeling well but was a couch potatoe. I told my DH yesterday we were talking about sex and stretching and fitting and well one thing led to another and we experimented....just enough to know it is all working fine but will still have to wait to find out about the fit. It is nice to know it is all still working though..

Vacation Diva, I agree with Suzyq, try to get someone to look at your feet before you leave if possible. I don't know about yeast infections, but if it's staph you need antibiotics asap. It usually resembles ant or spider bite type bumps, which brings up the question of whether a spider could have been in that shoe. I hate to be so serious, but please get it checked.
Annie, you might try melatonin, it's available at health food stores and is used for insomnia or for jet lag.

Yeah, melatonin is the herb. I have a friend who swears by it. Or you could try a turkey dinner with all the trimmings! LOL!

There's a homeopathic product I use by Hylands, called "Calms Forte", I've been quite pleased with it in the past. when I use it, I'm not groggy in the a.m.

First have a blister like red looking bump on toe on my left foot. Then I get one on my Big toe with another pimple looking bumps. Original places almost look like burns. Didnt ask OB/GYN about them yesterday - because I thought I only had one place on my foot and thought it was the shoes. Now I have it on my right foot too! Noticed last night in bed how tender and sore my toes were just touching the sheets - moving my feet hurt - they are numb and cold almost like I have been outside for a long time.

I soaked my feet this morning to make sure they were good and clean -put some Athletes feet creme on them - and some powder in my shoes today.

My toes are so swollen they feel and look like they could bust. It hurts to walk -

Have any of the rest of you had this? I am in a PANIC because I leave for vacation tomorrow. I can't imagine what this is. I have waited too long to call Dr office now.....

Hope my hyster systers can help.> Sorry for long post!
My toes aren't swollen, but I do have something akin to athlete's foot -- esp. on the arches of my feet, and the back of my heel, even when I wear shoes with no backs. I'm trying to leave my bootie socks off at night, and use creams/sprays. It's almost like the contact dermatitis that I used to get when I was a kid (I'd be allergic to the dyes and stuff in sneakers and sueded leather shoes)

Curly88 - no calendar - yet - just our husbands counting down the days (hours) until we're released for sex! But, I think we should do it! We'd make a ton of money - we'd have to market to the husband's too! Hospitals could send them home with your post-op rules!

HysterNurseDeb: Glad to hear the scrapbooking is going well. I am 3 1/2 years behind. I did 15 pages last week in my DD's book and then got overwhelmed when I had to go in search of pictures from the last couple of years. So I have taken a break from that and started some embroiderywork for a church project.

This week I finally feel "normal' for the most part. I have recently started having some bladder spasms, which I haven't had since two days after they took out the catheter. My lower left incision still has part of the stitch sticking out and so it is still open a bit, not as much as it was, still drains some. The right one has finally closed- yeah!!!

Today I ran a few errands and had my mammogram done. This was my baseline mammogram and so she asked if I was nervous. I told I had a hysterectomy a month ago, that made me nervous, this should be a piece of cake. She then proceeds to ask me if there is any chance that I could be PG. I said no, not at all, then she started laughing and apoligized'. She was felt bad. No big deal it's their routine questioning!
Have a good evening ladies.
What do bladder spasms feel like? I have been feeling great for the past week then all of a sudden today my lower back and lower abdomine started throbbing, to the point I had to take my pain med that I haven't taken in 4 weeks and lie down.
