vaginal bleeding and passing of tissue

I passed a a piece of tissue about 2 in. in diameter and freaked out earlier tonight. I overdid it yesterday and wonder if this is why. I am two weeks post op and have heard others say this is when stitches disolve and things like this happen. I am not bleeding anymore. I am going to call the doc in the am however.

HI Stroutwoman,

Sorry for not replying sooner. I ended up going to the er last tuesday night because the bleeding became so bad. What I thought was tissue actually were blood clots. It was horrible. I ended up having a stitch that was oozing blood. The same thing happened to me though in the beginning. I passed the tissue and went to the doctor last monday because I freaked out, but since there was no blood oozing, the doctor told me everything was fine. Definitely be diligent with your doctor. By the time I got to the er, I went through 3 super pads in 10 minutes.
