Spotting off and on

I had my surgery Nov. 30 TAH and was doing well. In the last week I tripped and began spotting pinkish in colour
it stopped after 24 hrs. Today I went out to do a little shopping, (less than l hr) and spotting pinkish again. My abd feels heavy. Anyone had this problem. Should I be worried?

Spotting off and on

I had the DaVinci Laproscopic on Nov 14. Spotting a little is normal. Mine didn't start until about 1 1/2 weeks later. It usually increased if I did a lot of activity that day. I still have a little spotting on ocassion. Saw my Dr yesterday and everything is fine.
If it becomes heavy or bright red then call your Doctor.

Spotting off and on

I had my surgery the same day Nana. I had somewhat the same problem. My spotting got worse though. Called the doc, because it was on the weekend , she said go to ER to be checked. ER doc said I was healing fine. Had my two week check up yesterday and the doc explained to me that it was kind of like a scab on your knee, except it is moist in there and can cause some bleeding. It could also be from granulation or other factors. ( Doc said I had granulation) Have you had your two week check up yet?

Thanks for your reply. I do not have any post op checkup until Jan. 11 but I am glad to hear that it is probably normal. Your doctor's explanation sounds reasonable.

If it still worries you or becomes more, you should call your doctor. My case may not be the same, but I know I read that it is actually common. Best wishes!

Granulation and healing could be the reason for your spotting. However, since you did fall and then experienced the spotting, it might be a wise idea to call your doctor to be sure all is well!

Many best wishes to you!
