Mono? High rheumatiod factor? 9wks post o

It was my first week back at work, part time and I am about to collapse! I am 9 weeks out, and posted about three weeks ago about a horrible sore throat fever I thought was the flu... turns out it was probably Mono.

I am still so tired and after running into another person who was back at work, super mom, running marathons, blah blah after 5 weeks. So, I went to the Doc. First blood test came High Rhuematiod Factor ((really scared the &*^% out of myself readning about that on the net)) Doc then set me up with a EBV (mono) test they called today to say I have had mono in recent past. They still want me to go to rhumatologist because of the high RF. (I'm scared!)

I don't know what any of this means? All I know is it's been 9 weeks since surgery, and about three since I had a really bad sore throat. I AM STILL EXHAUSTED. Is this the mono still or something else? I feel ok when I get up, but as soon as I get where I am supposed to go feel like I am going to collapse. I am trying to work, but the hour drive there and back is killer.

Anyone else had mono? How long does it take to get better? Can I hide under my bed? Help?

I have had momo full blown twice and still carry the EBV. I was diagnosed with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome about 8 yrs ago and lately doc has been making some noise about Fibromyalgia.

Mono can stick around for quite a long time untreated. Do you know if they tested your white blood count. You may still be suffering from the original bout.

Good luck!
