Dr. says BORIC ACID in my vagina.. Have you done this?

Saw my doctor today for a follow up to this possible yeast I have. I am still all red and hurt. He wants me to do a boric acid treatment. I had a solution made at the pharmacy and I insert a tampon and then use a squirter to wet it and go to sleep. Do this 2x a week. Anybody ever do this? Sounds weird!!!

Dr. says BORIC ACID in my vagina.. Have you done this?

While I have never heard of using Boric Acid this way, I do know that it is used medically. There are several homeopathic uses of boric acid that I've recently learned of. From my understanding, it helps soothe irritated tissue and reduces inflammation, among other things. I hope it helps you! Let us know if it seems to help you!

Merry Christmas!

Dr. says BORIC ACID in my vagina.. Have you done this?

I have never used Boric Acid vaginally, but I do know that it is supposed to be good for yeast infections and the like. I think you can even get a vaginal suppository. It does sound a bit weird. Let us know if it works!

Dr. says BORIC ACID in my vagina.. Have you done this?

My grandmother used boric acid powder (I think a tsp) and added it to a jar of vaseline. She would use this for everything. I think it is similar to neosporin but better. It draws out the infection. I remember a story she told about how my grandpa had a splinter in his hand for a long time that went unnoticed until it was infected. He started using the boric acid salve and after a couple of days the splinter was drawn out. I've used it for years on my kids cuts and bruises. Good luck to you.

i've read about making boric acid suppositories online but never figured out how. did you need a prescription?
try taking acidophillus supplements every day also. i think my problem is cleared up..i'm not sure if its a combination of things or a coincidance that i'm good since i started taking them.
i'm very interested in the boric acid though.
