cjnbkl8b3, I'm sorry you are still having so much pain. I was too until a few days ago. The last few days have been much better for me painwise, but I am 3 and 1/2 weeks post op now, so you will probably be feeling much better soon.

jeckel201 and 1kwords, I am glad you are both on the mends and getting back to normal. jeckel, I miss my students so much! I guess that's normal. I feel bad for not being there. You're going back after five weeks huh? Let me know how it goes. What is everyone doing for exercise? Take care! I'm tired now.

Hey 1kwords:

I too am 3 weeks post-op. I had the LSH on 12/28/07. I am still a bit sore but not from the surgery mine is from the hematoma under left incision area. I am still on strong antibiotics which has now caused a terrible yeast infection . At times when I over do it I feel like I have done too many sit-ups. Overall, I actually feel alot better and I am glad I had the surgery also. Just curious if you are still some what swollen. I still can't seem to get into alot my clothes still. I weighed in yesterday and I have actually lost five pounds but I still can't button those jeans. I have read alot of post on the site from people having the LSH who are still having what they call a mini period. I hope and pray I am not going to have those. I am ready to say good ridance to all periods. Glad to hear you are doing so well. By the way, my doctor stills says no vacuuming , but I feel like I can tackle it. Are you back to your normal daily activities or are you just doing little by little.

Hope all of you are doing much better now. Have a wonderful and Blessed day. I hope your still doing good Chocolate Queen. Your still in my prayers.

Hi Everyone!
I am definitely not back to my normal activities. I handled a short trip to the mall and came out sore and exhausted. I went to Walmart, I wasn't the one pushing the cart, that was ok but had to rest after. Mostly, i justget a pulled muscle kind of ache after lots of activity. I'm able to clean up after dinner and do laundry but No sweeping or vacuuming or lifting anything heavy at all.
I still have slight swelling just above the incision. It's a little annoying but clothes are fitting fine. Lost 8 pounds after surgery and it's all still off.
Haven't really been exercising yet but have been trying to stretch tight leg, back and shoulder muscles without using stomach muscles.
Dr said I can go back to work on Jan 28th for 4 hours each shift. I am a 911 dispatcher so only the sitting up part for hours at a time will be a challenge. I also work as a choreographer and definitely don't see myself dancing anytime soon so I will have to get creative with that job.
Got myself a GNC multivitamin without iron and started that. My tummy seems picky and sensitive about what I eat so just wanted to make sure I am getting my nutrients still.
I see my DR in 2 weeks and loking forward to be cleared for working out but still can't imagine doing it without a little pain yet. Not taking anything for pain but still feeling it.
Haven't had any bleeding at all and looking forward to no more periods.
Hope you are all improving!

Hang in there cjnbkl8b3!
I know this sucks but each day gets better. Not as fast as we would like but at your body's pace. Alternate pain meds and see if that works for you. My stomach was irritated by the motrin so I started using Tylenol and it worked better for me. I dont think aspirin would be a good idea since you mentioned still bleeding. Its difficult to talk to the MD but I have talked to his nurses and they have been helpful. Hope you feel better today and more tomorrow!

I just added an abscessed tooth to the picture, so I'm on antibiotics for that -- taking it with a side of acidophilous to try to avoid the yeast infection. I'm 3 weeks post op, and taking pain meds for my mouth. go figure.

Otherwise I'm great, just tiring quickly.

Keep plugging, ladies, we'll all get past this to that great state of recovered!

Bluekiity, I'm sorry to hear about your abscessed tooth! I am on antibiotics too for an infection (UTI and vaginal cuff), and have been taking acidophilous. It really works. I always get a yeast infection when I am on antibiotics, but this time I didn't, and I think it is because of the acidophilous. We will get past this to that state of recovered. I think we just need to trust in the healing process and keep up a good attitude.
