I hurt...

Hi Ladies,
Oh boy, I hurt! In the past 3 days, I have triped on electrical cords, twice! I survived the first one; true it hurt, but there was no obvious knock on effect. I can't say the same about today. I hurt my foot...nothing serious, just very sore; and my internal bits and pieces are really hurting. I ache all over and feel a little nauseous.
I hope I have not hurt myself too much internally. It is Christmas tomorrow, and I want to be able to enjoy the day with my family. I don't want to be the fly in the ointment, with stiffled ooooooooowwwwwws, all day.
For all who celebrate; I pray you have a safe and joyous Christmas. (1 minute to go, here in Tasmania.)

Hi (((Snowflake))) :candy:
I hope you can take it easy the next couple of days. Try to delegate all you can and no more tripping please. If you have aches don't hesitate to use some pain medicine and try a little heat. Chances are you have strained your abdominal muscles.
Pamper the princess a little bit and have a wonderful Christmas!

I hurt...

The heating pad was my best friend for a few weeks...It can make the world of difference. Have a bit of pain meds and a glass (small) of wine and enjoy the holdiay. Pamper the princess! It does get better. I was finally able to put my socks on without hurting. Hugs!

I hope you feel better soon. I've been sneezing a lot these last 2 days and feel more sore now than I did a week ago. Kind of a bummer!

I hurt...

I feel like I have 'stumbled', literally, into the Clumsy Zone this past week as well! Friday night we had a bad bit of storm, blowing icy/snowy stuff. Had to take my grandmother home and practically ran her up the walk to her door (she is almost 89). By the time we made it in, my lower shoulder was beginning to ache, think I sttrained something there. Been using the heating pad and more Tylenol and Ibuprofin then I've needed in a long time. Then yesterday I was out finishing Christmas shopping, and trying to step over one of those chain line things at the checkout to see someting a bit closer, and tripped over the chain, knocking it, several posts and other chains down with it! Just slightly embarassing, had an old man help me get everything put right. Then tripped on a hose in the gararge when I got home. The grand finale was hurrying down the stairs, everyone was in the car to go to a Christmas party, and I missed a step! Thankfully I caught the bannister, and kept myself from going down those last 5 steps, but REALLY!! That brain drain problem since my hyst now seems to be affecting my personal safety, LOL!
Hope you are feeling better and able to enjoy the holiday Snowflake, I am sure going to watch my step now!

But the pain all this past week has been horrible and gotten worse. I go in for my 6week check up on wed. and Im hoping Im ok, but til then I am all over that heating pad and SERIOUSLY taking it easy. Dont let it go to long if you really hurt

being 3 weeks out -- you still have tons of healing going on --
please consider calling your doctor.
it lets them know what is going on -- and may save you a trip to the ER -- with the holiday -- they may prescribe some pain pills or muscle relaxers so that you can get through until they can check you out.

Happy holidays.
sit back and relax

Awwww, thank you, preciouspearl, FrozenTundra, Jewelleeannea, Guinee, java jane, TamaraJo and thediamondlady, you ladies are the best!
Thank you so much for your lovely advice, I appreciate it. It has been all go here, and I have not had a chance to go to the doctor, but I am going to contact my Dr. office tomorrow.
At the moment I feel like I have been run over by a truck! Everything hurts. To add insult to injury, I now have a sore throat, glands and ears!
I was not the fly in the ointment yesterday (Christmas day). I kept my pain to myself. My SIL has a chest infection / coldy thing, and was somewhat miserable. I am not ridiculing, as I know how horrible this sort of thing makes you feel.
I dished some meals and did a little washing and wiping up...before being shunted off to sit down.
I was tired early in the day, but did not get home until around 11:30pm. It was a fantastic day; but I can't tell you how grateful I was to climb into bed. I have not been sleeping well, but I can tell you, my head barely hit the pillow before I was off in the land of nod!
For pain relief, I have been taking 'Strong Pain', which is a combination of codeine and paracetamol; and 'Nurofen' which has ibuprofen. I have taken to rubbing 'ice gel' into my achey bits. It is brilliant, but cannot be used with heat packs.
preciouspearl, I will try to keep the tripping down to a minimum. I don't doubt my abdominal muscles have copped a caning!
FrozenTundra, I am so pleased you are able to get your socks on pain free, now! Isn't it amazing how we learn to appreciate the simple things we take for granted prior to the op?
Jewelleeannea, Thank you for the advice. I am hoping I haven't torn any stitches. I am not having any vaginal bleeding, so I am hoping that is a positive sign; although, I occasionally get pain from my bikini line which continues down through my pelvis and into my vagina; but I have had this for about a week now, so not sure if this is related to my tripping episodes, or a continuation.
Guinee, Awww, you poor love! I know how horrible that is! Are you feeling a little better since writing you last post? I hope you are. Have you got a cold or an allergy? Whatever it is, I hope you are taking appropriate steps to alleviate the symptoms. Please get plenty of rest, if you have a cold.
java jane, Oh my goodness, you have been in the wars!!! My husband is threatening to wrap me in cotton wool, and disallow me to move, lest I hurt myself further...perhaps you should try this!!! Seriously, I know how awful this is, as I have become a huge klutz (sp?). Please take care, and try and do as little as possible until you are feeling a little more certain on your feet.
TamaraJo, I am so sorry you are still hurting; but very pleased you don't seem to have done any serious damage. Please let us know how you get on at you 6 wk check. I know I for one, am very interested to know how you get on. I am pleased you are taking it easy. I hope your boys are taking great care of you.
thediamondlady, Thank you. I am curious to know what the outcome of my Dr. visit will be. I am definitely not waiting until my 6 wk check to see if I have done any damage. I have too much weird stuff going on, internally to believe it is totally fine up there! It may not be overly serious, but I'd prefer not to leave it too long to see my Dr.

all, and I pray your holiday's are happy and safe. Take care; and don't forget to...
