Is your incision hidden or exposed?

My horizontal incision is hidden under a fat roll (ha). This helps to "cushion" it somewhat. I'm thinking that isn't a bad thing as I've been able to wear jeans since week 3. I would think those with flatter stomachs and a more "exposed" incision would have much more pain? OUCH! Finally, my fat roll has paid off!

Is your incision hidden or exposed?

I had my first ovarian operation at the age of 16 so I had a bikini scar...they went slightly above it and into part of that scar...basically it is hiding under my lovely "pouch" from having three kiddos. I almost wish it was exposed because I don't think it would bother me as much as it does.

Is your incision hidden or exposed?

My incision is exposed. I'm thin. In fact, I lost my little pouch after the hysterectomy since my uterus was the size of a 12 week pregnancy. I still have a hard time fitting into my clothes. Anything that isn't sweats or pajamas rubs against my incision. I haven't had much of a swelly belly, but there is still some minor swelling. Arnica really helped keep the swelling down.

Is your incision hidden or exposed?

I've got a bit of a pooch (I weighed 148 at my 2-week post-op, and I'm 5'-2.5") after 4 babies, so I do have to lift slightly in order to see my incision. It's not completely hidden, though, and I am finding clothing to be very uncomfortable. I mostly wear velour athletic pants or pajama pants for now, no jeans... ouch.

Is your incision hidden or exposed?

Sadly, mine is under a roll of fat. Sigh. Like Tam's, it's not completely hidden, though. LOL on the roll of fat finally paying off! I think that my fat does help provide a cushion for my incision.

Is your incision hidden or exposed?

my abominal incision is directly on the bottom of my pooch- two kids and being overwieght for years (though am now down to my bmi) but for now the pooch kind of blocks the whole incision from my view.
the dr. told me i will be surprised by the overall results- tummy wise- of getting the 20 week uterus and fibroid out of me. still waiting for that whoohoo. as of third day out i had only lost 4 lbs. and havent attempted anything but nightgowns and robes for this week.
next weeks goal. sweats.

Mine is hidden by my pouch also. Have to lift up to get access to it. I'm not brave enough to get on the scale yet...sweats are comfy...I haven't even considered jeans or "real clothes" yet.

Is your incision hidden or exposed?

Mine is hidden under my pouch/muffin top..LOL I'm glad it's hidden but i still feel the pain from my incision and my pouch/muffin top is still numb in certain spots. I also received while in surgery a laser burn on my pouch/muffin top which i'm having to deal with now... The things women go through to not feel the pain/problems anymore...

Also, i was sooooooo excited when i didn't have a period this month!!!!!!!
