Abdomen skin is painful ??!!??

underwear......whats that! lol I try to wear as little as poss around that area...... still wearing loose linen trousers when I go out or dress no underwear. I have no discharge so underwear not needed thankfully. I find it snags on stitches and irritates my cut so why bother..... I went out and bought myself some lovely new underwear for when I can wear it again but swelly belly got to go first..........or maybe thats just to much xmas food and drink........great excuse to indulge. although I have found I have to eat less and make more reguar trips to the loo which is great now the pain of bm is gone apart from the ocassional spasm.... diet in the new year.......

Abdomen skin is painful ??!!??

At almost 5 wks post-op, I think the skin numbness and tingling is my major complaint (besides just not feeling like "me"). It definitely has improved but I don't like the idea that it might linger for months. Also, the low back pain is getting to me. I assume that is related to weak stomach muscles?

I had a TAH at bikini line - im also 9 days out.
I have been getting aching around the incision more than anything. and the bounce of the pouch when walking does help. i thought i needed more support- but maybe its just the opposite.

Try Spanx or Assets - made by the same person. You can find Assets at Target, they are great for support.

I may give it another week or two though before trying them...You are still at the early stages.
