Why am I crying so much!

jejuhe: My heart went out to you after reading your post. I am concerned about the feelings you described. You sound very depressed to me, and I'm talking from experience since I've been on anti-depressants for years and without them I'm a mess due to a chemical imblance in my brain. A flat affect is a red flag you should be concerned about. Way back in 1984, after the Bopal explosion, I remember trying so hard to feel for the victims and I couldn't. I simply could not respond to that horrible accident no matter how much footage got flashed across the news, and this was the warning that alerted my doctor to my chemical imbalance coming into play. Even with the hereditary nature of the imbalance (most of the women in my family get it when they're close to 40, and I was 23) I didn't connect the lack of affect with my brain being out of whack. I would suggest that you talk to your doctor about your emotional condition. I don't want you to have to go through such an emotional deadness; I know how terrible that is. Please take care of yourself.

Why am I crying so much!

Hey there,

I am 4 months out on a TAH/BSO. I immediately started with the emotions. Physically, I got along fine, but I'm was like you, I cried for no reason. It was usually fron 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. I don't know why for that time period. I was on Estridiol 2mg which obviously was not working. I cried one day about Jim Croce dying in a plane crash. I never was familiar with him or listened to his music! I was recently put on the Viville Dot and am doing much better. Thoughts are with you. IT WILL GET BETTER!

Why am I crying so much!

Thank you for the kind words. I think the reason I feel so rough and emotionless is the out of whack hormones. I am sleeping fine in fact really don't want to get up. I have gone back to work full time and even played tennis again after being out 8 weeks. I just can't seem to muster up anger, sadness of even happy. I am on premarin 1.25mg and I am cutting those in half. I am going to try to find a doctor after the holidays to adjust. My gyno says he never needs to adjust hormones Yeah, right thats because he still has his.
I really am going to miss my Lucy, people are terrible sometimes. I will never find out who did it, but I can't help but to wish them trouble for themselves.
