Are there things we can never do again?

If you are in doubt as to what you can and cannot do I would suggest talking with your doctor and surgeon and get your questions answered. I had my 6wk post op yesterday and my weight limit was only upgraded to 30lbs from 20lbs. this is due to the fact that I had alot of repair work done and a TOT bladder sling. I would never jeopardize my healing process no matter what! I have been told by my doctor that the energy level will increase slowly over time. She basically cleared me for everything but the lifting restriction still applies for the next 2 months. Also remember like fingerprints we are all different and heal differently so if in doubt check it out with the doctor. I wish you a wonderful recovery and good health!

Being cleared by the doctor.

I loved the way my doctor said it. She said, " As far as I can tell, your doing great and can go back to doing the things you were doing before surgery, But only you know your body best so listen to it. If your body is telling you not to do something, don't do it!" About 4 weeks later my family and I went to the waterslides. I went down two and my body told me no more. I waited a little while and DH wanted me to go down one more, so I did. Well, I should have listened to my body. I got swelly belly and was hurting. Looked like a pregnate women in a two peice. So, I am just suggesting that all should listen to your body, just cause the Dr. says your cleared, doesn't mean your body agrees.
