Ladybug, thank you so much for that explanation!!! I can take a deep breath! I seriously thought I was going to keel over and croak! I don't like doing procedures without ample warning and if it's something I don't understand than I freak out further! ::sigh::

I have my post op (2wk) appt tomorrow and I see the urologist on Thursday. My youngest daughter is getting a CT scan done on Thursday as well...So she'll need to go with me to my appt. She's been having migraines (she's only 5) and we need to out rule sinus and brain anomolies. My sister has bad migraines and a black spot on her brain from a seizure or stroke or birth defect...they don't know which. But my sister gets miserable migraines since she was a little girl and so we need to get Amaya checked out.

And just in case your wondering...those aren't the only appts for this week either!!! Friday my middle daughter goes for her allergy testing. She's got miserable eczema and we need to out rule environmental and food allergies..

Someone hold me.

dellasue, i hope everything goes well with your little ones this week. i know that migraines are horrible i have suffered from them since i was three. with no reason found for it. my hormones must have had something to do with them because i have not had one since surgery which is16 days ago and that is a long time for me not to have a migraine. i hope they find a treatment for both your children i know that having a child with difficultys is never any fun. no matter what the issue is we just want to take it away for them . hard stuff to deal with. i hope you can get some rest inbetween all of it. take care kelly.

Della Sue, hugs never fun to deal with things with a young child.....going through something similar to find what casues my daughters chronic abd pain. But take care of yourself....you are still healing! and FYI my follow up wiht the Urologist is Thursday too. I am looking forward to talking ot him. he left forgetting to update my husband after the surgery (they called him and he talked to my husband on the phone but asked my dh do you have ? and My dh said no-he never does LOL) But I want to know what he did, what to expect etc.

As for the stent, each dr is different but that is what mine did. I too was freaked the first time I had it as I did nto know what to expect. Going to the Uro as of late for me has been more uncorfortable than a gyn visit LOL!

Good luck to you!

Kelly,

You say you have not had a migraine since surgery and I have a headache for two days that I was thinking was because of the hormones.....so maybe not if yours got better. Of course mine may be lack of sleep!

Ladybug, you're right rest will make you feel better. I'll be thinking about you. Today has been good for me too, I'm getting better every day. Now I've gotta beat the boredom until I can do something about it. I think my eyes are bothering me today or something, I too have a small headache. Not anything near migraine though, I don't know how you guys stand them.

Hey Kelly! I know what you mean by being restricted in everyway. I was told that I am not supposed to lift anything that I cannot lift with one hand for a solid month. My husband went back to work on Monday, which left me to do every thing for not only myself but my 17 mos old & 3 yr old. I also had to give in & drive my 13 yr old daughter to school. That freaked me out a little considering I was treated for a DVT in my left leg a week ago. My 13 yo puts the babies in the van for me in the Zachary is a little heavier. Soooo, I went to my mother's house & she got Zachary out & lucky enough he wanted to spend the day with her. I just can't wait until I'm able to pick them up without any restrictions.

I hope every thing is going well with you. I still continue to have pain. Since my husband went back to work yesterday, God love him, I have tried to only take tylenol extra strength every four to six hours considering I have to take my daughter to and from school & then take my darvocet n-100 at night.

Have a blessed day!

Karen, RN
