Feeling Great????

Hello Everyone, I had a TVH on January 2 and I feel great. I stayed in the hospital for 3 days and I am totally off all the drugs. I have some light spotting and thats it, no pain, pressure. I realize my surgery was not abdom. (which i have had a tummy tuck and remember that pain). I go for my 2 week post op on Thursday, I actually feel like I could go back to work already. I am taking it easy and not doing heavy work, although I have been cooking some. I am think my body is relieved from my constant bleeding which made me very anemic. I did have problems with gas and BMs but after the first week that too was gone. I am just confused that I feel so great, has anyone felt like this?

wow karen , your life is not allowing you time to heal. i feel for your ache to hold your babys agian. when my son was 9 mos old i had carpal tunnel surery on both hands one at a time but one right after the other and i was not a allowed to pick him up for months it was very heart wrenching. thank god he is 12 now almost 13 and can help me out this time. i have been able to stick to my restrictions because i am lucky my parents live with me. so i have not broke any rules i am hoping he releases me tomorrow tho it is almost 3 weeks since surgery and i have a huge bowling tounement that i want to do even if i have to throw a lighter ball than i normally do i am hope ing he says yes but it is a 15 game tounament so i doubt that he is going to clear me . i have done this tounrnament for the last 5 years and i dont wanna miss it if i dont have too. so i have been very good about my restrictions. i also contunue to have some pain after a long day. in my belly button where one of my inscisions are it bugs me. but for the most part i have been ok i just get so darn tired. that bothers me i normally am not so restless when i am awake and so tired after doing things. i guess i am still healling. well i hope life slows down for you and you are able to heal. ill be thinking of all of you. kelly.

Good morning Ladies,

I had a semi-rough night last night. The small headache I had been battling all day turned into a head splitter. I finally got relief around 11 pm, but still had a restless night. However I am determined today will be a better day. I sincereley hope everyone else's day will be better also.

Ladybug, how are you today?

God Bless!

taking it easy

Hi Kelly! Thanks for the response. I am definitely going to try to take it easier today. After taking my 13 y.o., Chelsea to school this am, my dad called & wanted me to meet him for breakfast. So, of course I met him with Zachary (3) & Natalie (17mo) & he got them in & out of the car for me. I then went home & made the kids take a nap so that I could get some rest & of course get on line. I called my mom to find out where she had gone & come to find out she's gone to Myrtle Beach with my sister soooooooo, today may be a little more stressful than I thought. Just hope & pray I can make it through the day without having a "melt down" & hopefully the babies will continue to cooperate with me today. Have a great day!

Thanks to everyone who had well wishes for my kiddies. They've all got their own issues. My oldest has asthma like me. My middle is high functioning autistic and has severe allergies and eczema. My youngest has headaches. I wouldn't trade them for the world though They are great kids!!!

MY POST OP APPT:

I had my two week post op appt today. I checked out good! She wont check "the cuff" until six weeks... She gave me a script for ambien to help me get better sleep. yeah! She's pleased with the incisions on my belly from the lapro part. I have nothing showing now and you can hardly tell that I had surgery except one of them still has a bit of a scab. The dr said it'd fall off in a day or two though

I also got my diagnosis: Adenomyosis Not a single fibroid!!! She was saying that's what she thought anyways since the ablation failed. She's pretty sure she would have had the fibroids scoped when she did the hysteroscope before the ablation....

Anyways it's nice to have an answer to what was going on. She commented again on me being a bleeder...well yeah. :P~

Dellasue, I can only imagine trying to manage three children after any surgery, much less children with health issues. You must be a strong person. My children are grown and were ten years apart. My oldest is 31 now, but has asthma, so I can sympathize with that. But I do know this, children are a blessing from God, no matter how much care they require. My belief is God makes NO mistakes, so that must make you a very special person.

Hey all!

I'm so proud of myself today, I made my bed and washed a few dishes, at least DH won't have to do that! He'll probably be mad though, he was there when the DR. said no to about everything. I think part or all of my headache and sleep problems are because I'm just not sleepy. I get tired but thats just not the same, so I'm trying to be up and about more. I really am not doing anything I'm not suppesed to but DH just doesn't see it that way. I can drive a little tomorrow, so I'm taking one of my Jack Russells to the vet (yippee) she's not even 5 miles away!

Everyone take care & God bless

Thanks Glenda! I love each of my children and I know that God would never give me more than I could handle. My children are blessings and I love them dearly. They've been great while I've been healing. Their ages are almost 11, 7 and almost 6. They've been very gentle with me and want to help! My seven year old has been loading the dishwasher, my oldest doing laundry. My youngest one is happy to bring me glasses of ice water or made tea from the microwave! She's great at it ;D Now if I can only get my husband to run the vacuum. LOL
