Hello - when my surgeon removed my staples she warned me about bleeding/spotting. She said as the stitches dissolve inside and pull apart (as they are suppose to) there could be spotting or even bright red blood. She said women stop bleeding and then it restarts and they get concerned and didn't want me to worry if that were to happen.
Hope that helps!

Hi girls! I know it has been a few days since I last posted. Like many of you, I have good days and I have bad days. I am sooo fortunate with the surgery itself I feel silly posting some times. I really don't have any pain or FEEL like I've had a partial hysterectomy. Although, every now and then I'll get a gas bubble and oh boy, it'll double me over!

Teresa, my surgery was on the 2nd of January.

The headaches might be getting less painful, not sure as I keep taking my medications on the slightest onset of pain. I do know that when I ventured out with my mom on wednesday to see my aunt in the hospital I wound up spending the next day in bed, my head hurt and I just couldn't get motivated or the energy to get up and do anything. ugh

My daughter drove me to wallyworld and I did a little grocery shopping yesterday, boy, I didn't realize how quickly I could get tired. I still haven't driven as I just don't want to risk it or anyone else. I think I am more afraid of the affects of the pain meds then I am of the affects from the surgery. I'd rather be clear headed when I drive, if I were to end up in an accident and they checked me for drugs I don't want that to be the cause of it. I couldn't handle the guilt, although, what would Ibruprofen really register? LOL

I am blanking on who it was that had the swollen vein in her leg, did you go get that checked out? PLEASE tell us that you did and that the doctor has taken care of it. I think we would all feel the loss if it were a blood clot and something bad did happen, so please let us know you are doing well.

Well, girls, I am yawning again, I think it is time for my nap.

Take care!!

Well here I am again, and I'm happy to say its daytime, evev though I'm still not sleeping at night. I'm pretty sure I will eventually go to sleep for more than an hour span though. I have had sleep problems for a while , just not as bad as right now because I'm having trouble finding a comfortable spot.
Thanks to some of the posts I've been reading, I can't remember whose, for the burning pains when the nerves start healing, or I'd be spazzing (again), they started yesterday. Before that I had had very little feeling at my incision and hardly even knew it was there, now I know it's there LOL!
I took my first trip to Wallyworld also today, yep it wore me out too!
Now I'm waiting to go to my granddaughter's birthday party shes four that should be a hoot!
Hope everybody else's day is going as well as mine!

hello ladies, glad to find everyone feeling pretty good. its funny most of us have made trips to wallyworld it must be the place to go LOL. i am feeling pretty good except that i have an infection brewing and now i am on antibotics and pyridum the infection is ither a bladder infection or vaginal the doc was not sure which i was having such pain in my pelvic area and my orginal urine screen came back clean until the doc looked at it under a microscope and found some bacteria so he is treating me for the infection to prevent any thing more serious . he said the infection could be eather bladder or vaginal and i was not in the mood for a vaginal exam and so he did not do one and just went with the outer symptoms thank good ness because i was in such pain i dont think i could have handled a vaginal exam. i am getting frustrated at how long it is taking me to heal it has only been 12 days but if feels like forever. i guess i need to give myself a break. well ill talk to you guys later every one take care kelly. 32 yrs old LAVH 31st of dec.

I have been feeling very good - off the pain pills completely (was just at night since about 4 days post-op) but now I am afraid I have been feeling too good and have done too much. I needed to go into work for our board meeting on Friday and ended up being there for about 5 hours, then today I ran errands including a trip to Menards and the grocery. I know I picked up things that were probably heavier than I should and pushed the cart with heavy stuff. Now I feel a little crampy and my spotting is much heavier than it as been - not yet soaking a pad an hour as the post-op directions mention - but still I can tell I have over done it.
Anyone else dealing with this or have dealt with it? Should I be concerned yet?

Hi all,

Well like most of you I too have been out doing errands etc. I notice that after a shopping trip or up cooking etc. that I have increased bleeding (darkish discharge) I have not had any red blood, a pantyliner takes care of it. I too have lifted too much and this causes me great discomfort. I sit down quickly and put the heating pad back on. I am only taking Motrin once or twice a day right now. I do worry about busting something open by doing too much.
Take care all

Too much Wallyworld

Well I guess the trip to wallyworld was too much. I'm having low back pain and its pretty uncomfortable.
I have been only taking motrin since Tuesday, so I hope I can just go to bed tonight and it will be gone tomorrow. I still went to my littleones b'day party and sat in a straight back chair (padded) that seemed to help a little, so I hope its just a little strain. I hope you all have a good night and feel better in the morning also. It seems we all overdid it today!
