Still swollen at 3 months post-op

Help! Is anyone still dealing with swelly belly 3 months out? I seem better in the morning but still swell as the day goes on. I am exercising daily (20 min. eliptical, ab exercises and free weights), but still can't get my belly flat. Any suggestions for a better figure!!! Thanks.

Swollen Belly

Hi, I had my H w/ovaries removed on August 31, 2007. My belly and diaphram area still swollen and breathing is not as easy as it should be due to diaphram tenseness. It is good in the am as you stated and as the day goes, the area gets harder, bending gets tougher. I went to the Dr. today because of my concern. Belly still very tender. 3 months out wasn't so bad but continually got worse. Will have a CT scan on Monday to see if all my parts went back into place and see if fluids are the cause. Feel stupid but I think something is just not right. I hate to have more needles, but the discomfort is becoming distressing.

I had the Da Vinci (robotic) and had terrible gas pain for a week, but walked immediately and went back to work after 5 days, nothing strenuous. Worried I did too much too soon. I will write and let you know what the findings are... I am hoping I am just impatient, but Dr. stated swollen and tenderness was not normal, hence the CT.

Yep. Especially yesterday and today. I took down the Christmas decorations, which means lots of bending, lifting boxes, and walking stairs to store the decorations. I'm more sore now than I've been for about 2 weeks, but still feel better than I ever did before the surgery. It gets worse as the day goes on (and I do more and more). I also find that driving my husband's car contributes to soreness and swelling (versus my mini-van).

Me too. Just not sure what is normal after 4 months. I may go ahead with the CT. Will post my findings. The more I work out, the harder my belly and upper torso feels.
