7 weeks post op and spotting?

Hello - I'm 7 weeks post op (TAH) and couldn't feel better! My recovery went really well and quickly and am back to normal activities about 85% (working P/T for a couple of weeks). At my 5th week, I noticed some spotting, not red, kind of brown color. I didn't feel bad, and didn't have a doc appt until the following week so I read the board. Apparently it's normal and could come from the vaginal cuff stitches. I saw my doc last week and she thought part of the cervix was left, but it ends up there may have been a "nubbin" from the cuff surgery. Anyway.....I'm still spotting! OK, I have to admit, I've done the deed with my mate since I was cleared, but nothing more than normal exercise. Please tell me this is normal? My doc insists it is, since everything healed up great, and told me to call if I have a fever etc. Honestly, the spotting isn't bad, just annoying.....wasn't the "bleeding" supposed to stop? LOL! Thanks guys!! Cold day here in NJ....

7 weeks post op and spotting?

Hi Kriskrat. I got on to post my own thread about bleeding - I'm only 3 weeks out and my Dr said it's normal to spot at this point but now it's turned to more than spotting. Plus I think I have thrush or at least some kind of yeast thing but I don't have the discharge usually associated with a yeast infection.

Anyway - I read your post and just felt I wanted to reply to you. I am going to post my own thread since I'm at an earlier stage in recovery than you but maybe someone will post in my thread with info that might be useful to you. and vice versa.

My recovery so far has been great as well and I feel pretty good besides this other stuff

Oh...I used to live in Rockaway in the late 70's - when I was in 7th grade. I went to Copeland middle school (at least I think that was the name of it). My parents moved alot so we were just there 1 year...

Hi Tammy - I really hope you are OK. Hopefully it's something you can fix quickly without having to go back in to surgery.

That's so cool that you lived in Rockaway - I live off of Fleetwood, which is the street by your middle school! The mall is bigger than before which makes it hard to move back to my homestate of Texas, LOL.

Hope all goes well with the remainder of your recovery!
