brownish discharge and stuff

Hi Sisters,
I went to another site looking for answers about brownish discharge. (5 weeks post op TAH/BSO) and some of the women said not only were they having the discharge but chunks of stuff come out as well. Ick, sorry...but they all said it was normal. I wish the doctors would be more advising as to what could happen to us post op. I am so thankful for this site so when something abnormal happens I don't freak out. Thank you sisters!!!

brownish discharge and stuff

Just had my 6 wk check-up today and told my dr about the brownish discharge I had. He says it is from the internal stitches and it takes 100 days for the stitches to totally dissolve. It is normal....but ask your dr about it.

Are you kidding 100 days?

I can't believe what we are not told by the docs? I had lots of discharge after mine and then got a vaginal infection............ Not yeast either It was horrible I thought the smell was from surgery? They kept telling me it was the healing process , yeah right. smelled like death. Sorry that is gross but if anyone has the problem just get a swab at the doc ...............................
