Strange feeling when urinating?

When I go to the bathroom it feels like it did when they took the cathiter out, that moving feeling. It doesnt hurt but it feels weird. I guess I am just a little worried. Is anyone else having this, or know what it is?

Strange feeling when urinating?

It definitely takes awhile for the bladder to get back to normal. I'd say I was actually around 3 months post-op when I felt I was finally emptying my bladder completely when I went, and wasn't having any twinges.

However if things get worse, you start running a fever, or have any doubts, see your doctor. If you are in the early stages of a bladder infection, you want to nip it quickly.

Good luck!

Strange feeling when urinating?

My bladder is still sore 4 weeks post op. Not nearly as sore as it was, but emptying totally takes some effort. It is improving. I'm getting my "storage capacity" back too. I don't have to run to the bathroom every hour like I did that first week.

Strange feeling when urinating?

I was really uncomfortable for the first 4 weeks, it was better by the 6th week, but still not normal. Now it feels better although I still have twinges now and again. You are still pretty early into recovery. But as a_new_life said, if it gets worse, fever or jsut need some reassurance, please call you Dr.

Strange feeling when urinating?

Thanks everyone! I was thinking it was just from the surgery and nothing serious but just figured I would ask.

Strange feeling when urinating?

I just read your little elephant thing and I have to say that sleeping on my side was such a mile stone for me! The nurses showed me in the hospital to put a pillow between my legs, one under my stomach and one under my back(for support). I was able to sleep the whole night after that! Of course nothing beat when I was able to sleep on tummy no pillows needed-Awww!

I am a week and a half post op and so happy to read your question. I was just feeling the same and wondering if it was normal. I feel the same way and am glad it is ok. Good luck!

Strange feeling when urinating?

Well I was able to get on my side lastnight and was comfortable watching a movie untill I had to go to the bathroom and couldn't get turned around to lift myself up so again my DH had to come to the rescue lol. He just laughed and asked why I keep trying and helped me up.

Strange feeling when urinating?

I am 8 or 9 weeks out and still have funny twinges sometimes. However, I have had 2 uti's since surgery. So be careful. Keep drinking lots of water, and if it seems bad, talk to your dr. Mine prescribed antibiotics over the phone since uti's are so common with this surgery.

Strange feeling when urinating?

Me too. It's been six weeks and I feel like I have rocks stuck in my urethera. It's not in my bladder although I am peeing a lot. I am drinking tons of water because I'm prone to UTIs and feel like this could become one. Glad you posted this because I was going to!
