Dee, I'm so bummed about your hubby, that stinks that you would need to beg for him to get the house stocked with water and food. Good for you for pushing it and making him get his butt in gear. You need to be resting!!!

Grrr.

Just hope that you are being kind to yourself.

Peace and Love,
Brinks

Okay, I posted a new thread but I have a weird little stitch stinking out of my left incision. Seeing the doc on Friday so hoping it'll be soft enough to be pulled out then.

Otherwise, doing fine here. I know I have to take it easy yet, but I'm able to fill the dishwasher, and putz around the house and it feels good. I still am keeping "wubbies" (the name my husband calls ice packs) on my belly to keep the swelly belly at bay.

Watching the football games, it's cccccooooolllddd out there!

Peace and Love,
Brinks

I'm certainly open to suggestions. Thanks saltydawgs.

How are you doing now that the fever is gone?
Feeling pretty good, thanks, I think the slight fever scared me more than anything, my incision looks fine, no signs of infection there, so don't know what caused the temp. I'm not experiencing any type of hormonal effects so far, thankfully. Just swollen, tender belly, lessening pain, energy level's pretty good although I haven't done anything more strenuous than laps around the kitchen!

Hope all is well with everyone. I had a good day. I went to the mall for about an hour earlier and have been on my back ever since.

Brinks -

I think I might have the same thing you have with the stitch but I am afraid to look. I am like another poster, I clean it daily in the shower but I try to not touch them or look to close. haha When I read your post, I peeked and it appears dark...Hopefully not stitches. Maybe I will have hubby look...

Just an update. I am feeling a little better today. I had a real hard time getting to sleep last night. I finally fell asleep about 3 am. The dr put me on a new med in case of infection with my incision. I am now on Levaquin, Motrin, and Flagyl on top of my Bp pill. I just finished Pyridium. The Flagyl leaves me a little nauseous. Not enough to make me sick just enough to keep slightly off kilter. Hopefully the side effects will start getting better.

Good Early Morning Sisters. Maybe Someone Out There Can Shed Some Light On Post-op Vaginal Bleeding. It Started As A Light Blush Discharge 2 Days Out Of Hospital, Just Enough For Me To Wear A Pantyliner. Had To Go To E.r. 3 Days Later, They Went Into My Bladder For A Clean Urine Sample And I've Been Bleeding Ever Since. It's Vaginal Bleeding. Dr. Says It's Old Blood B/c It's Dark, But When I Wipe Sometimes It Looks Bright To Me. Today, When I Went To Change The Pad, There Was What Looked Like A Clot, But It Was Very Tough Feeling (yuck!), Not Like A Regular Period Clot. I Have Appt W/dr. On Tues. Did This Happen To Anyone Else. How Long Can I Expect To Bleed?

Hello fellow Jan. 11

Thank you for your reply. I am feeling a bit better day by day.
How are you doing?? Were they able to leave your ovaries??
I still have mine (thank goodness) and they were able to do the surgery by laparoscope vs stomach cut. So far i am happy. I will be on top of the world if the surgery has cured my pain and I no longer have to take meds. Anyway please let me know how you are doing.
