Pain after a Laparoscopic Supracervical Hysterectomy

I had a LSH on Dec, 7th. Felt great until this weekend and now I have extreme pain in my left side. When the surgery was done, the doctor said that I needed to have my uterus scraped off my stomach. It had attached itself. Called the doctor today , saw one of my doctors partners and they said that it only a muscle spasm. The ultrasound revealed nothing and my kidneys are fine. Just wonder if anyone else had something like this and should I be concerned and talk to my doctor.

did you keep your ovaries? could it be that they have started working again and youre ovulating? i get painful ovulation and it can be extremely uncomfortable. did they check your urine for a bladder infection? thats the only things i can think of since everything came back normal.

That was one "guess" by the doctor. Though she was a little concern that I was still VERY tender and in alot of pain. The bladder was clear. The ultrasound tech, said it looked like I had "poop" in there, then said nothing.

i can stay tender for days on a bad month. and the pain can be bad. if they didnt see anything with the ultrasound, and checked your urine..its probably that. try to keep track of it for next month. 800mg motrin really helps with the tenderness.

Pain after a Laparoscopic Supracervical Hysterectomy

I've been having a very sharp pain (mine is on the right side, however) for the last 3 days. I was thinking it may be my ovary kicking back in, but wasn't sure how soon that might happen. I figured if it lasted into tomorrow, I would call the doctor, just to talk to them and see if I should be concerned. It's a pretty sharp pain some of the time and I'm tender in that area as well. I wasn't sure how long the pain could last if it is just ovulation. Prior to my surgery I occasionally could feel when I ovulated, but it never lasted more than a few hours.
Yesterday the pain was so bad, I actually got out the prescription pain pills and took one (I haven't used them since the first week after my surgery)!
