LAVH incision pain, 8 weeks

I'm 8 weeks post surgery and my left lapro. incision has been hurting me on-and-off starting at week 5 until now. I have a pain near the incision site that feels deep and like a side cramp - or sharp ache. It's not constantly painful but does seem to increase with activity. I don't know if it's a coicidence or not, but that incision had 1 or 2 dissolving stitches (put in just after surgery to stop a superficial "bleeder") which I think my body finally rid itself of a few days ago after working on them since about week 4. My other lapro incision and belly button incision feel fine. The painful incision looks OK - a little pink from the stitch coming out - but no big amount of redness or obvious signs of infection. I also feel fine, no fever, just worried. Anyone else experience this? In the interest of full disclosure, I have definately increased my activity level in the last week.

LAVH incision pain, 8 weeks

I am on week 4 post op from LAVH. They went in through my belly button and I had a plus sign looking incision at my bikini line. I definetly have a lot of pain around my belly buttom like you are describing, and nothing at my bikini line. Of course this is the second time I have had an incision in my belly button, maybe that makes it worse.

I started work yesterday, which has increased my activity and the pain. Maybe this is normal healing? I figured I will wait out the week and see how I do through the weekend before I call the Dr.

LAVH incision pain, 8 weeks

I had surgery just 2 days after you and I can TOTALLY RELATE..... Its frustrating, I know. These little tings and pings of pain can make you wonder if your okay.I am not in pain otherwise,no fevers, etc.,just really concerned about what to do. I had a cat scan done at 4wks post-op cuz I fell, and it was a bad fall. But the scan came back"perfect",thats what the e.r. doc said, and I have been like this ever since. At my six week check-up my gyno told me there was alot of moving things around in there so I would probably get the tings for awhile yet, meaning, give it a few months. A FEW MONTHS i said!!!!!!! But I deal with it and I get to go back in 5 wks for another check-up just to see how Im dealing with it. He said atmy last visit that my recovery was an aplus so I try not to worry to much. Hang in there,k.....
