left ovary left in - problems over a year later??

Hi, my hysterectomy was June 29, 2006.
All was taken out except my left ovary and fallopian tube.
Bladder infection right after - but since then no trouble, until now.
I felt an uncomfortable pressure in my vagina the last few days.
This morning after urinating and wiping, I stood up off the toilet (sorry for the graphics) - I turned to flush and noticed blood on the toilet paper.
Should not be blood - since I have nothing left down there!
So, I re-wiped to check - more blood.
Was not sure where it was coming from.
So, I washed up. Got the kids off to school. Went to pee again before heading out to work - and it was a painful, burning feeling - very light stain of blood. Nothing scary.
Hurt like heck all day to pee.

Doctor's office at 4PM - he put the speculum in and I almost shot off the back of the exam table.
He did a swab - to check for infection.

then he did an internal and it was so painful I thought I was going to kick him (accidently of course)
He appoligized and did another internal look due to all the pain -
He also felt "granulation" and said there was blood coming from inside but could not pin-point it

He put me on Cipro - and ordered an internal ultrasound for next week.
In the mean time -

Does anyone have this or has anyone had this?

Any thoughts?

Thank you!

Carol

That must be scary. I'm only five weeks post op (on Friday) and so far no problems. Hopefully your doctor will be able to figure out what's wrong and hopefully it will be something minor. My thoughts are with you.

Hi Cindy,
How are you doing? I had an abdominal surgery. Was back to work within 3 weeks (work-aholic)

I had 3 c-sections so knew what to expect for pain and was okay with recovery.
This is why I don't know what to think about this?

Do you work? Back to it yet?

Your symptoms do not sound related to keeping an ovary, but do sound a lot like a bladder infection..............hope your physician is checking for that, especially with the bleeding, burning and your past history.

And, because he found some granulation in the vagina, you could possibly have 2 things going on that your physician can help you resolve.

I hope all is well, soon...........good thing you had yourself checked. Take care...........s....Deb

The cipro is stopping the razor-blade feeling when I pee.
Still have some type of discharge vaginally -

Hope that the internal ultrasound on Tuesday can tell more. Just so glad I can pee in peace!

Thank you for your thoughts!
Husband's reaction is pretty much "jeez, woman are gross!" lol
