Issues with Food????

I am craving sugar! Sweet stuff is all I want. I'm normally not really into sweets. I kept my ovaries but I think my hormones are totally out of whack. I cannot stay away from chocolate. This is making me crazy!

Issues with Food????

I definetly think it has a lot to do with our hormones. I kept my ovaries as well, and chocolate is a big downfall right now! I know exactly what you are going through!

How funny - Little Debbie!

How funny! I have been thinking for the past two weeks what is wrong with me - I've always had a sweet tooth, and most of the time after my surgery, probably up until week 9 or so, my appetite has been sporadic, I had been eating really healthy, was only 3 pounds up from my presurgery weight. In fact, I had told my husband that I thought they surgically removed my sweet tooth. Then in week 10 and 11 (I'm 11 weeks today) I have had such a problem staying away from junk food, and/or eating all of the time!! I'm so glad you posted, because it really seems that after I struggle with a problem for awhile, I finally get on here and find many sisters with the same struggle. The funny thing is, I went to the store specifically today to get Little Debbie Nutty Bars!!! Everyone mentioning Little Debbie is too funny! I will say I haven't eaten one yet, but I did get two boxes, because I have three teenage boys, and they will eat them all within three days.

I did start walking today - We actually had good weather today and I walked to my kids' middle school and walked home with them. I'm going to do the same tomorrow, and then on Wednesday at my son's hockey practice, I'm going to walk the stairs (it's at a college hockey arena). My pants are a little snug and I'm feeling a little porky, so I decided I needed to start some sort of exercise again.

Best wishes to all of you as we tackle this struggle - the one of many that seem to creep up on us!

Thanks so much for posting about the food problems - at least I don't feel like I'm crazy now!

Sandy

Issues with Food????

Yes, the chocolate! I'm really craving that. One day I was so desperate I ate the fudge my SIL gave us, which is the absolutely worst fudge I've ever tasted in my life. It essentially tastes and looks like chocolate jello with nuts. Horrible! But it was the only thing I could find that came close to chocolate. I've got it bad!

Issues with Food????

I am 7 weeks post-op today. I am new to this website and very intrigued by what I am reading. I too have these eating urges. I have NEVER been one to crave sweets, but now I can't get enough. One strange twist however, I am losing weight instead of gaining. I eat more now than I ever have. Has anyone has this experience. I had a total hysterectomy and I am on Vivelle-Dot 0.1 mg.
