Returning to work jitters?

I just had my six week check today. Dr said I am healing fine. There are still some sutures in the cuff area, so nothing in vagina for 2 more weeks.
So, I can go back to work but I can't have sex yet.
My boss(s) said if I need more time, or modified hours to let them know.
I am going to go back on next Monday, MLK day.
I really feel free at last of my Fibroids.
I was in more pain before surgery. I am more worried about fatigue.
I have tried to clear my schedule of anything other than concentrating on going back to work for the next couple of weeks.
Good luck to all of you.

Returning to work jitters?

I go tomorrow for 4 wk check up and am hoping to return to work on Monday. (that was the plan before surgery anyhow) I am sure i wont get the sex ok yet- do to cuff yet. Our poor co-workers dealing with us returning - before the sex is ok'd. yikes!

If i do go back that is my plan also, no outside activities planned for the next couple of weeks.

Returning to work jitters?

I went back to work for a half a day today and my surgery was last Tuesday. I think that it all has to do with how you feel. If your co-workers are anything like mine, they will be very understanding and more than willing to work around what you need for recovery time.

Returning to work jitters?

I'm going to try again tomorrow. I came home early Monday & stayed home all day Tues. & Wed. I spent the afternoon grading papers today and still have a few to go. Hopefully, I'll make it all day tomorrow! I feel bad for my students!

I jogged a little and I mean a little and today I have been on the couch all day in agony. My back is in incredible pain and I feel like my bladder is going to drop everytime I pee. So please take it easy with your 1st class especially as you are going back to work same day. I have work tonight, really dont know how gonna manage but I only started back last week so got to go in.My friend keeps telling me, I look great on the outside but my inside is still healing Im going to listen to her now,,,,,,,,, She had hers 3years ago. Returning to work jitters?

I had my 4 wk post op today... what a breeze.
I am good to return to work on monday, lift 20 lbs, use the treadmill and eliptical, walk as much and as fast as i want and swim. Dr said i looked like i was 6 weeks out on everything- but the cuff. So still no sex for another 2 wks.
I called a co-worker and gave her the news. she's my lunchtime walking buddy, so she was so happy. She said its been my appreciation time while im off- we will see if holds true when i return.
but still a bit nervous just thinking about it though.

Returning to work jitters?

I had my 6 week post op on monday. My doctor gave me 8 weeks off so I go back to work on 1/23. I am stressed about going back to work for several reasons. I talked to my boss today who is hinting around that I may have a more "expanded role" when I return. Also, the person who took my place while I was out wants to stay in my department and I'm sure in my job! I was assured when I left for my surgery that I would return to the same position if I returned within 3 months, which I am. So, the question is what can I do if my job belongs to someone else when I return?

Returning to work jitters?

im not sure. But i do know even if you filed the FMLA papers it only guarantees you a position when you return, not specifcally the one you left from. My place of employement is going through some radical changes and i really dont know what im walking back into my self.
Sorry not much help, just wanted you to know you werent alone in your concerns. Hang in there-and try to remember. God has a plan and sometimes change is part of it.

Returning to work jitters?

I am also nervous about going back to work on January 28th!
I think I would feel better about it if my boss and co-workers had been more supportive through this whole thing, but the boss has been asking me when I was coming back since I got home from the hospital almost 8 weeks ago! I thought I would be able to go back way before this, but recovery took longer than expected. Good luck everyone!

That's so discouraging.......people who haven't endured major surgery just don't understand what it's like. Even when you "think" you feel better, you still have down days when you're just not up to full speed. I had someone say to me that yes, it's nice for people to be understanding, but be sure to not take advantage of it! Thankfully, she's in the minority. EVERYONE else I work w/has been EXTREMELY supportive..........and so has she until that one comment.

I did fine yesterday, only somewhat tired when I got home, not too bad though.

I've definately been sore today, but not tired. I'm assuming still being sore is normal. I'm 4 1/2 weeks post-op.
