I feel like I am so lucky. I feel wonderful. I had a great experience at the hospital and my second day home has gone very well. My bottom feels like it is on fire every once in awhile and I take a pain pill and I am fine. I have pain pills to take two every four hours as needed. I've taken four total in the 35 hours that I've been home. I have not had a bm and I am worried about that because I had a posterior repair. I am on stool softeners.

I pray that all of my sisters are having as easy a time as I am having.

Downyocean but you can call me Kay

HI all,

I'm so glad to finally beo n the other side!!! I had my TVH on Monday morning. Woke up in recovery around 10ish and was admitted to a room a couple hours later.
I came home Tuesday evening. The stairs to my room were my only obstacle, my hubby helped me, and I got into my bed. I've spent alot of time sleeping. I get up and walk the hallway between my room and my dd's when I feel like it.
Today I'm struggling with pain management. Haven't had a bm yet,and I'm very gassy still....that may be why I'm hurting more today.

I slept too much yesterday so I wandered the halls last night. I slept late today so I am pretty much screwed up as far as my day and nights but I really should not care. Being retired with just dh here in the house, I will not be bothering anyone by being off schedule etc.

The bum is still sore and still no bm. I will be so happy to make a little do-do. Anyone else anxious to do that?

I'M @ Home

I'm @ home. The day of my surgery was awful. I was in so much pain until the night shift nurse came in. He was my angel !!!! Within one hour he had me in zero pain & comfortable in my bed. I don't think I would have been able to stand it another minute if he hadn't been there. I am doing much better now. I'm on my second day of recovery & am walking some . Trying not to over do it. Still a little gas, but getting better. I hope all the other princess' are doing as well. I will follow up later.

Kay, I'm feeling you darling. I think I would feel sooooo much better if I could just drop some kiddies off @ the pool. I haven't eaten more than two bites of food in, well today will be the 4th day. I guess that's why I can't poopie huh ?! Hope you recover well.

Hi Ladies!

Keep taking the stool softeners and they will save the day. I used Milk of Mag on day 5 to get 'er goin'. Things were a little more formed than I expected even with taking stool softeners, so stick with it. Any bm after has been smooth sailing.

I'm so glad you are all coming to the other side now. I need to keep checking here to see how my sisters are doing.

I'm one week post op today. Getting antsy, but am working on enjoying my time off and healing properly.

Peace and Love,
Brinks

HOWDY!! I am SO excited to be a part of the post op recovery board!

My surgery was messier than expected but I was out so I didn't care! I guess my uttie was seven times larger than it should have been due to fibroids. It was such a mess they had to cut it up to get it out & that's with an abdominal incision! I feel pretty good though. Pain has been minimal. I was released yesterday & have been able to navigate the house ok. No BM here either but I've been on stool softeners & I think it's coming. I will be happy when that is working...it's the little steps. I get my staples out tomorrow and I am enjoying laying around the house, doing a little walking & hanging with my hubby.

Stay strong!

Hey all!! I'm finally home from the castle. I had to stay an extra day because of a stomach bug that I must have caught. I spent the second day and night tossing. (Which doesn't feel too good with a TAH)
I am glad to be on the other side. I feel great. Not much pain. I only take Tylenol when needed. I am looking forward to getting back to normal activities (not too soon though). After all we must let people pamper the princess. I hope I am able to give some helpful support to others on this site. Thank you for all your help and information!
