Hi, I'm glad your doctor visit went well. The general schedule for endometrialc cancer follow-ups seem to be pelvic exam to include a pap smear every 3 months for first two years and then visits every 6 months for the next 3 years. Some doctors may order CTscans yearly too.
Many doctors do not recommend HRT after endometrial cancer as this type cancer is often estrogen driven. Some doctors will provide an estrogen creams (like for example premarin ) if there are problems like vaginal dryness. Please check with your doctor before using any OTC estrogen cream.

I too am glad to hear that your exam went well. I also can't take HRT because my Ovarian Cancer was estrogen reactive, and it's not a chance I"m willing to take. My follow up includes exams every 6 months and blood tests for tumor markers. My gyn/con RARELY calls for any scans unless there is a potential problem that needs to be checked out.

It was real hard for me not to have scans just to make sure everything was ok...but ultimately, I knew I had to put my trust in my doctor and realize that she knows more than I do about this disease!

As for the estrogen ....please call the doc's office and speak to someone about it. There may be a little dose of something they can give you.

xoxo
