??? re: FACIAL waxing/shaving....
RE: our wacky hormones that affect us from about 12 yrs old till we are 97, I have noticed increased facial hair/fuzz along the sides of my face/cheeks. I have light color hair, but I felt it was just WRONG to be able to grab hold of the fuzzy hair and pull. So yesterday I spent the $$ and had the sides of my face waxed. I LOVE the smooth feeling and look and my makeup went on much nicer today.

I am wondering if anyone else has their face waxed?!?! I hope I am not alone in this.

??? re:FACIAL waxing..........

I have waxed my upper lip and chin but not my entire face. I do have the white fuzz too. I did not want all of that coming back black from waxing so I have gotten so I trim them with scissors as short as possible. I am talking about jawline up to cheeks area. I would wax it if not for the course black hair thing. Let us know how it does when it starts regrowing.
I have started keeping tweezers in my car, and developed a fear of my car mirror. You never know where the next hair is going to show up, do ya?

I've been thinking about having my face waxed also. I wasn't sure how it would turn out so I'm really glad to hear how nice it is.

Did they tell you how long before you would need it done again?

NO, she didn't say how long the waxing might last and I never thought to ask. I am SO excited about how nice and smooth it is, I already KNOW I am going to have my lower legs waxed come spring time. Can't wait!!!

??? re:FACIAL waxing..........

OK girlfriends. I just waxed my eyebrows and Love It!!! HOWEVER, I WAS RECENTLY TO AN OSHA SEMINAR. Make SURE the salon you go to NEVER double dips the stick into the wax pot.........the pot of wax is hot --not boiling (obviously) so it can be a wonderful breeding ground for germs....(let's not talk about what kinds but you can imagine). If they double dip they can pass it on to you....YEK... ALSO (yes I am a little germ freak) make sure they are really sterilizing the instruments between people on the mani and pedi's. Some say they are BUT only do it at the end of the day NOT BETWEEN clients..

??? re:FACIAL waxing..........

I have been very apprehensive to do this. I have lots of light peach fuzz type facial hair. It's never really bothered me until the last couple of years. I am afraid that if I wax it will come in thicker and darker, that would really be awful! If I do anything, I think I would look into laser hair removal. I have heard that is more permanent.

Do keep us posted on how things are going. I am interested to know the long term, that is if you get stubble or darker hairs coming in.

??? re:FACIAL waxing..........

I have always had problems with chin hair because of polycystic issues since as long as I can remember I have plucked for 20 min every morning. Three months ago I started lazer treatment and it has been wonderful. I still have to have treatments every 8 weeks but it has helped in thinning and removing in additional I have no growth for at least 2 to 4 weeks after. I waxed in my 20s but my hair was to corse for waxing to help.
