Chiropractic Care

I am going to the Chiropractor today. I have a pinched nerve in my left arm. Quite honestly it hurts worse than my TAH/BSO ever did. I wake up in the middle of the night crying in pain I will be 5 weeks post op tomorrow. I did call my OB/GYN and they gave me the go ahead. I will let you all know how it goes.

Hope everyone else is on the mend now

Beware that the adjustment may release fluids from mid back that may show up tomorrow morning in your glands as if you have a sore throat. That was my experience with an adjustment at 6 wks. It will take it a couple of wks to get out of you lymphatic system. You may ask your chiropractor if they have a product to do a lymphatic cleanse to help you out. I see you are going about the arm, but if it like my experiences they check and adjust everything needed. Just a warning encase.

I had so much pain from my hip after surgery, I couldn't sleep, sit or stand. I was so worried that the lack of rest would impede my healing so I decided to call my chiropractor. I was adjusted both 2 days and 5 days out. I explained the situation and she did no manual adjustments, just used the adjuster (the clicking thing). The pain went away and I was able to get the rest I needed. The pain in my hip was FAR worse than both the surgery and any prior pain in that hip I had every experienced. I didn't check with my doctor but I was SO desperate, I didn't think anything else would help since percocet and 800 mg of ibuprofen didn't even phase it. I don't know that I would recommend this, I believe it is a very personal decision based on the person's facts and circumstances.

I'm 3 1/2 weeks post op and just had my second adjustment today. She has been very gentle with me. She does the myofacial while I lay on my tummy (with a pillow) and then she adjusted me while laying on my back. I had to have 6 shots on my lower right spinal area today. The back spasms have been a pain to deal with. She gave me soma 500 mg. I hate to take pills!!!!! I also had to have a tetnus shot. UUGGGHHHH. My dear boys left a piece of wood with a nail at the back door (fall off a shelf both boys knew about it but didn't pick it!) and I went to the let the dogs out in the middle of the night and I stepped right on the nail. Went through the middle of my foot. Dr was not hapy with me since I waited til my appointmet to tell her! I did this 3 days ago.

I go back to see her again for adjustment in 3 weeks.

Hugs,

Michelle
