feeling weepy

I am only 4 days postop and have been like that too. I was wondering if it was just the pain meds, today is my first day percocet free, just on Tylenol. I am up and down, certain things make me cry, then I am fine...and only a little moody, lol...I chose not to take hormone replacements, had everything removed. I will wait and see how I do. I was wondering how soon does the body freak that the organs and hormones aren't there..I haven't had any hot flashes yet, just a little agitated.

I know that it is hormonal. I am seven weeks post op and I cried for thirty mins one night last week. Why I am not sure. I too have had those weepy spells. I hope that it will all balance out in a few weeks/months.

Hi Ladies

Major surgery is a big shock to the system. Your body mourns the loss of its part. You are dealing with hormone fluctuations, and trying to get rid of all the anesthesia and medications in your system. It's so normal. It does settle down, but don't beat yourself up if it doesn't happen overnight. Make sure to drink plenty of water to flush out your body. Take short walks outdoors or sit outside for a few minutes. The sunshine and fresh air help to recharge the batteries and boost your spirits.

You're not alone. Peace to you!
