6 weeks, first time :(

I had ask my dr. about horror stories i read. said he only saw one once in 22 years and it was someone who had done it at 2 wks out.
ca00- i was so glad, we did the "test drive" on thursday- dh birthday- went slow and felt a little sore but it was all good. Anyhow you were right, it was nice to know things worked and that stress was gone for our big getaway night - (which was last night)

A little wine, dancing, and a hotel room- just what the dr. ordered. litterly.

Its so nice to be "normal" in the "couple department" again.

Glad to hear you had a good time. It is so nice to start to feel "normal" again.
As far as the horror stories, it always seems everyone is so ready to tell you the bad stuff, but those with positive stories you don't really hear too much about. It is nice to hear from others and to know that you are not alone in this journey.

I'm at my 6 weeks and going back to work tomorrow. After hearing all this I am NEVER having sex again. Actually I'm not even interested. I am constantly tired and getting grumpier and grumpier every day.

shan6- The sex after is good. We all are just stating (when dr. gives ok) take it slow and easy. For the record, it helps to get rid of the grumpies and energizes you too.

Remember- part of being interested is mind set...

I agree with you "fit&ready", alot is mind set.
The more I start doing regular things and not just sitting around I feel better. Don't get me wrong usually by 8 p.m. I am very grumpy and ready to sleep. I found the more I get back to my normal stuff the more motivated I am to do fun stuff and not so depressed and grumpy.

I understand that, I am a runner, always have run about 3 miles EVERYDAY. Gotten to the point that I am walking a mile now everyday. So Normal is coming. After 15 years of marriage I am aware of "mindset." I just don't want to to do it, I have NO desire, and my hubby isn't that talented, so it really doesn't do much for "grumpies." Thanks for advise though.

fit & ready-- so glad you enjoyed! Definitely worth it to set your mind at ease. Of course, I guess I was a little too eager and ended up at the dr. today (a little discharge and slight spotting after sex the latest time...): small bit wasn't healed and he used silver nitrate on it. 10 more days of waiting. Again. UGH UGH UGH UGH.

caaoo- so sorry to hear that!
Actually dh turned me down last night! He said i needed to take it easy and not push it. Thought that was too funny (ok and kind of sweet)
But i do kind of keep waiting for something to happen after... wonder if the feeling will ever go away?

I don't think that'll go away for a long, long time... Every time I pee I still look to make sure I'm not spotting (and that was from my 2nd week post op!). My poor boyfriend thought I was sex-crazed maniac (but knows I'd be mad if he said no!)...and I guess I'm paying the price!! So be glad he turned you down!!

At least I enjoyed before my 10 day hiatus...again...
