10 Days Post Op - Fever 101.7

I'm 10 days post-op LAVH/BSO. and I was feeling horrible all day. Pain in my lower right side and lower back, now I have a fever that seems to not want to go down....but up!

I'm nevous.....DH doesn't seem to care....but I haven't been able to get up off the couch too much today at. I felt fine yesterday.....at about 2 am it hit me nothing but a dull pain in my side then moved to my back. I' taking muscle relaxants for back spasms, was in a car accident 12 hours before my surgery and refused to postpone my surgery!!! Was taken to the er in an ambulance and refused meds at that time just so I could do th surgery. I was afraid if I didn't do it then I would back out. I waited 3 months for insurance appovals.

Not sure which Dr to call or what to do.....

Call the doctor who did your surgery. I was told to report any fever of 101.5 or over.

call your doctor, based on your symptoms, it sounds suspiciously like pyelonephritis.

Hi Michelle

I'm sorry to hear that you're not feeling well. It's really important that you call your surgeon immediately. It sounds like you've got an infection that will need to be treated. Please don't wait, as things can take a rapid turn for the worse. Please let us know how you make out. I hope you'll be feeling better soon.
